Would this be an Orion issue, or MDA? All other MDA plugs work fine manually and presets in Orion? Strange that DeTune - being as simple as it is, doesn't?
Calling Mr. MDA, come in MDA...

Had a weird problem with MDA's DeTune today in Orion? The presets adjusted the knobs and sounds right, but my chaning of them did nothing? The knobs moved, but the numbers nor the sound changed on any parameter?

No that issue is obviously also in all other hosts. At least Wavelab and and VSTHost as I remember ...Steven West wrote:Had a weird problem with MDA's DeTune today in Orion? Same problem in Logic. But if you close and then open the plugin again everything is then on it´s place and sounding as it is supposed to do.
Not easy, but for me still worth it. As far as I know there´s no other free plugin that does the same as DeTune... .. .

Well, TobyBears Mad Shifta's pretty nice in it's own right. But DeTune with the mod capabilities has it's own merits indeed.
So Insert it - Remove it, and re-Insert? Or maybe if I just 're-open' my project today - it may work?
Glad I'm not the only one - and was able to give a few wastebuds a laugh in my quest for answers.

Strangely enough I just resurrected some of my old effects today including mda detune which I really like but yep it's got this little problem, and I was just now looking for info on either the problem or on a suitable effect to use instead.
I've got two versions of mda detune, one from July 17 2001, one from August 26, 2000.
The one from 2000 responds correctly to moving the knobs but loses its settings when a project is saved (EnergyXT, Cubase SX1) and won't load its settings with the project or from an fxp file, which makes it quite useless.
The one from 2001 will save and reload its settings, but doesn't respond to knob movements. But, if I tweak a knob a bit then bypass/unbypass (EnergyXT, Cubase SX1) the new setting will take affect although an incorrect numeric value will be displayed. Which is good enough if there's nothing else like mda detune out there. I sure couldn't find anything so simple. Everything now seems to be all-singing, all-dancing 20-knob monsters and I just want to turn one knob and have it sound good.
