Salvador, would you happen to have a screenshot for the mapping of Kit-2 as well?

Hmpf, remapping this stuff manually for the EXS is a true PITA... hopefully Kontakt will load the EXS patches then.

I just finished a manual remap of Drumkit1 for DK+, and I must say, I found it a breeze!Sascha Franck wrote:Hmpf, remapping this stuff manually for the EXS is a true PITA... hopefully Kontakt will load the EXS patches then.
When I finish Drumkit2, I will upload them for DK+ users.

I finally succeed (I think!) to export a not so bad sf2 of your kit using VSampler. I had to tweak a little bit the envelopes to set the release and the sustain correctly and now, it sounds ok (not as clear as the 24 bit Halion version though).GIRO wrote:I tried the ESC demo to convert to SF2 and it does a pour job.. VSampler works the same way. I had to modify some of the patches because VSampler didn't import correctly (GSCW kit #2, perf cymbal). The envelopes were too short (a few ms of hold and release) and when I was ready to save, there were only two options: save in VSampler format or export as a soundfont.
I don't know why but I was persuaded that it was in Kontakt format. Now, I can even use Extreme Sample Converter to convert in other formats, a thing impossible with Kontakt 2 format. The same for VSampler...
Vienna would have been a good choice for doing a SF2 version but I'm not in the mood for a AUDIGY installed in my DAW....
If you allows me, I can upload this sf2 somewhere.
EDIT: I also made a DR-008 patch working this way: VSampler - export to sf2 - Import in Awave Studio Demo and save as DR8 patch (I don't know if it is legal to use a demo version of Awave to publish a patch made with it however...).

I was a little afraid of that. I hav not used the drum kit yet so it might not be my place, but i have recorded real drums often enough. My concern is; the ammount of bleed depends on the way the kit is mixed. there might be instances where I am looking for a very dry tight kit sound, others a big roomy sond. the over heads play a vital role in this, the levels at which they are kept... The tom mics might often be gated. So no bleed here.GIRO wrote: Bleed:
The Samples were done like this!!
To avoid CUP loss! Each sample is a stereo mixdown of 7 mics..
Not CPU hungry at all
All samples were recorded with lots of velocities.
The Snare drum on kit one has about 20 layers. Even the cymbals are 4 to 8 sample per key!
With the bleed mixed into the sample we do loose this flexibility... I think BFD lets you set this or am I mistaken ? My concern arises from the fact that i often need to sequence drums for hard rock/metal songs... But maybe i'm just getting paranoid.

p.s. i am in no way underestimating this kit... just voicing my thoughts..

There are 2 downloads in my auditorium threads.
A demo kit and the full free kits..... enjoy
Kit #1 has 2 toms and Kit #2 has 3 toms.. The same 13"x13" tom placed on where the 12" should be!(Tom Special) This one is the 13" tom re-tuned as a 12".. no pitching of the samples.
I will post HALion2 visuals Maps of the 2 drum kits soon for remapping.
