Okay, a word or two about how I do the drawings just so that noone will feel cheated.

I use Excel to do this. In the first column are the names of preorderers, in the second column I have the amount of CDs they have ordered, and in the third I have the total CDs ordered as it progresses through all the preorders (starting with my own since I ordered first).

I then go to http://www.random.org and use the top link in the middle section. I set it up to draw 1 (or in some cases more than one) number between 1 and the amount of preorders we have at the moment (110 being the current case).

The number that comes up is matched against the third column in my Excel sheet. The person who placed the order with that number wins.

It should be fair for everyone.

A couple of notes: I actually won the GJBB...because the first number drawn was 5. :) But since Alex and I have deemed ourselves ineligible (for obvious reasons...) I drew a new number and it was 54. Preorder #54 came from Bruce.

Hope this works out for everyone.

hello kovacs, :-)
it seems totaly fair to me.

btw, congrats to the new prize winner!
i am glad that i didn't win this new prize, as i do not play any jazz/big band music and the library would remain anused by me.

but, i really hope to win the fabulus cameleon5000. i have downloaded the cameleon5000 demo and the sounds it makes are indeed FANTASTIC!!!
so, for me the next prizes (at 120 pre-orders) are totaly unique!
please, keep the cd pre-orders coming, as i can't wait for the Cameleon 5000 synth!
although i mostly use analogue modulars for sound programming, the additive/digital/fm/re-synthesis sounds of the cameleon5000 are really OUT OF THIS WORLD! and i am NOT over-reacting at all, really.
keep up the great work guys, :D
bakis.

I dunno  Doesn't WOOT mean, like a good cheer or something? Just picked it up from the kids ya know -- I'm NOT really hip or anything... ;)

Post

woot (also w00t):
The term w00t is a slang interjection used to express happiness or excitement, usually over the Internet. The expression is most popular on USENET posts, multiplayer computer games (especially first person shooters), IRC chats, and instant messages, though use on the World Wide Web in the form of weblogs or in forums is by no means uncommon.
So there you go. :?

Analogue or digital – which is better? There's only one way to find out... FI-I-IGHT!!!

erm... Thanks DD! :)

w00t then...
