yes, i'm saying that...my buddy who's a bass player just happens to be over watching footbal, he said it proves nothing either way, and that you can play faster with fingers than a pick...i think it sounds exactly like fingers on round-wound strings...i'm not great, but i can play bass pretty good and i know the difference between fingers and pick....i have to vote without a doubt fingers, but that's just my opinion...anybody else?

well, the example Sascha posted really sounds as if a pick has been applied (because of the sound not because of the speed )- but then you all should keep in mind that of course you can always use your fingernails like a pic which makes this whole discussion kinda pointless...

back on topic: i ran out for a minute and that todd rundgren song "Bang on the Drum All Day" was on the radio, that has a cool bass solo, they seem to run the whole song thru delay...that's always been a pretty fun tune...
