It's wicked! Good work.
A good feature would be for it to be able to show what frequency in numbers like Waves PAZ.

Loaded the latest version into Tracktion2 and had a major crash as soon as I turned it from off to left+right chanels. The whole program quit and left the sound card with a loud nasty noise, ouch.
Tried again on a different track and as soon as it is enabled a box keeps coming up over and over with an error message in an endless loop, not so bad, but still fatal.
I know your busy but I just thought you'd like to know.
Great idea for a plug BTW
(I think RonC needs a mention here)

This certainly looks like a very useful tool!
I hope it will not be as complicated as the other frequency tools - I try them once in a while, look at the bouncing lines and whatnots on screen and become isntantly confused, and conclude that even my poor ears make better visual representations of the spectrum.

well
i downloaded and installed latest version of posihfopit, so i had to clean a little my vst folder, and moved masterfopit in the same folder than posihfopit, and masterfopit did not seem to like it !
it made Live4 bug, and Acid Pro5 crashed at starting (while looking for new vst...).
Is it normal ?
Is it a bug ?
is masterfopit well & fully compatible with latest version of posihfopit ?
Would it help that i send you the bug file text ?

Hmmm... I only see one input. How do I seperate channels? Does it work in conjunction with posihfopit?
Also latest version crashed XT on my machine (was dragged into main window from a test folder and was displaying a single fft)

mmmh...
Still crashing, even when i uninstalled every previous versions, and installed the latest (21 09 2005).
I opened live5 demo, and when i tried to load Masterfopit, a bug window openend telling
" zugriffsverletzung bei Adresse 1108B8E in Modul 'posihhfopit.dll' . Lesen von adresse 00000030."
I don't understand what it means, but shall it help you...

What do you mean, the latest version of masterfopit or posihfopit?
Anyway, i've just uploaded a new version of the masterfopit here: http://www-users.rwth-aachen.de/Christi ... rFopit.zip
It's still buggy, especially Left+Right sometimes don't work. It's because on some machines i use some SSE and 3DNow code. But i'm currently too lazy to debug it.
The version should be fully posihfopit compatible, but i havn't tested them in detail. On my machine both work fine after the patch.
Regards,
Christian

thanx christian for your support & new version !
i don't know really what i mean... when i open posihfopit, i right-click, choose 'masterfopit', and then it gets buggy.
But when i loaded Acid, and that it check the vst folder, it was "masterfopit" that made him crash.

Could it be that both *fopits (where did you get those names from?!?) share the same VST four-char code or something? Maybe that explains a clash between the two?Christian Budde wrote:What do you mean, the latest version of masterfopit or posihfopit?

Furthermore, using Sonar + DirectiXer, Masterfopit seems to attenuate the signal... It shouldn't affect the signal at all, I guess.
Otherwise, great idea!

Ok, i guess i have understand the problem. The master fopit of this thread (in detail the single .dll) does not have anything in common with the posihfopits masterfopit [ahh, i'm getting fopit, i mean stupid], except that they both share the same name.sinkmusic wrote:i don't know really what i mean... when i open posihfopit, i right-click, choose 'masterfopit', and then it gets buggy.

Due to incompatibilities they (both dlls) couldn't even work together since the latest update.
The Unique IDs are totally unique ('posi' vs 'MFFT') that's for sure.
The masterfopit hasn't got evolved a lot. I will care more in the near future. Currently i'm more into DSP again. Trying to reengineer some real hardware EQs. That's pure fun, although the math sometimes gets me stupid. Anyway, tomorrow i have to learn again for the university, so i guess no newer updates for the next week.
Regards,
Christian
