Just recently, logic audio 5 silver has started damaging my songs. When I quit or load a song, it says "Damaged song! (clearrec: odd pseq)"... I have just recently upgraded my computer wihh 1GB RAM for a total of 2GB. After the upgrade, logic audio tells me after loading a lot of instruments, that memory is getting low. However, task manager reveals that I still have got 1.3GB to spare or so...

Logic 5 can't handle more than 1GB RAM.

wow, that's interesting... there is no way to "disable" that extra 1GB when running logic? I'm not very keen on throwing away that extra gigabyte :)

nobody's got an answer to this? When logic 5 was released, people were already using 1GB of RAM, so I just can't find it possible to be logics fault, more like a problem with how Windows XP manages physical memory past 1GB? There must be a rule somewhere to keep logic audio from using over 1GB of RAM.

Post

there are apps that can do it I guess?

Post

It's a pity you can't assign a given amount of RAM to an app in Windows as you can on a MAC I believe.

Post

Interesting... I dispatched the extra 1GB of RAM, but the same problems have arisen again. I now have my old 1GB RAM, could it have become damaged again? I also get asio errors when I try to load UAD-1 plugins...

Do you have a Hewlett Packard printer installed?

Post

No, I have a Samsung printer... also, I did a fresh install of windows xp after I removed the extra gig of RAM, and yet I still have these problems.
