Hi all..whenever I load cubase sx, I get a log file popping up in "my documents" folder, called "ReWireDLL 050926 190851" or some such number at the end. Its getting quite irritating as I can find no way to make them stop. I dont use rewire in cubase sx for Rebirth or anything, and the problem has only started after installing then uninstalling a demo of Reason. Anyone now how to make em stop appearing?..here is an example of the text in the log file..

Thanx guys! hope you can help with this one :)
I took a sawtooth wave off this Pantomime4, looped it back, mixed it with the sound of this crab committing suicide and let it stew in its own reverb for about 3 hours, then I pumped it all out through this shoe to give it that oak'y timbre.

If you never use the Rewire protocol, you can uninstall it:

1/ Command prompt > copy/paste this:
regsvr32 /u "C:\WINDOWS\system32\ReWire.dll"

2/ Go to "C:\WINDOWS\system32" and cut the file named "ReWire.dll" ; then copy it in a safe place for back-up purpose.

Test & see if errors are still occuring. If you want to reinstall Rewire, just copy the DLL in system32 and copy/paste this at a command prompt:
regsvr32 "C:\WINDOWS\system32\ReWire.dll"

A less radical solution would be to remove Rewire (steps 1 + 2 above) and then re-install Rebirth which uses an older Rewire.dll version (right now the older version has probably been remplaced by the Reason one = potential problems perhaps...)

Goodluck.

Thankyou very much n-04... that worked !! You were right, the original Rebirth Rewire.dll had been overwritten by the Demo of Reason. Merci! :hyper:

Logs shouldn't be showing up unless you are (or were, it seems) using a beta version of Rewire, which you should only have if you were a beta tester for Reason.
