I did the same on the sf2 and uploaded a new sf2 of the first kit. You'll find it at the same place than beforeSascha Franck wrote: I'm going to place the samples upside down in my conversions.

EXS file done.

Phew, that was some remapping work... but it's been worth the effort, I think.

Big thanks for this great sounding set to Giro, Audioshots, Sascha and everybody else involved!
Sascha, do you have any idea which of the 24 bit formats imports well in Battery 2 ?
I'm a bit unsure because since I haven't got Halion or EXS, I can't compare B2's import to the real thing (and I've seen some mighty strange imports).
Cheers, susiwong

None of them will import. Battery 2 is based ón the Kontakt 1 engine, which won't load the patches properly either.susiwong wrote: Sascha, do you have any idea which of the 24 bit formats imports well in Battery 2 ?
But, with my EXS version done, we're probably one step closer to a Battery 2 version...
No wait, I just loaded it - now, while the sounds are loaded, it's looking like the biggest mess I've ever seen. What the heck...
Guess it's time for some more remapping fun... *sigh*.
Hm, well, actually, the EXS patch is loading fine in Kontakt 1 (why does Battery 2 fail so miserably then?), so I could just do some adjustments and resave it, then load it into Battery and do the final adjustments.
Sounds like a better solution, yet no fun at all...
Allright, that's been my last try for today. EXS -> Kontakt 1 -> Battery 2 = MISERABLY FAILED!
Guess NI should think about their file import business again.

Sascha

VSampler= a HALion mimic gone the wrong way!
but it can export to SF2,...cool!
KONTAKT= LMAO.... when they gonna catch up?
BATTERY= tried a demo and it gave me hell!
but it can auto arrange the layers...
HALION! Has never giving me problems with how the samples are named.. everything I but in it, works!
Everithing that halion says that can import works with the re-editing of envelopes like every other sampler...
Re-editing an imported patch from an other format should not alarm any one here
its a law..heheheh
So! I'm tryng my best to make maps of my library so you can re do them as close as possible to the original... HALion 2.0.35
PS: If you are using a phony Halion
( I hopy no one is):-o and its not updated to 2.0.35, the patch won't work....
Hmmmm!... That's no news around here... samplers saying that they can handle multi-formats and then they fail... Kontakt claims to handle HALion 2 but what version of the patches??... can upload HALion 2.0.0.0. I guess.... Original banks that come with HAlion 2 but if you do a patch with an updated HALion2, like Halion 2.0.35, the patches wont load up.. Thats my GUESS!Allright, that's been my last try for today. Ok, the DK+ maps for Drumkit 1 and Drumkit 2 are available at the DK+ user page:
http://thedkplus.dashsignature.com/
The maps are not exactly the same as the original HALion map, and I have added GIRO's disclaimer to the relevant text to highlight this. But, it is pretty close and sounds excellent. Thanks GIRO for the great work and making this free!

Listening... Why is it that there is such stark difference between kik sample 'Kick-V09-Yamaha-16x16' and 'Kick-V10-Yamaha-16x16'. seems as though a different kik drum was used here almost...

Grrf, Extreme Sample Converter really mangled the names on these, so the sfz mapping will be done by hand. At some point. (I have a lengthening list of sfz mappings I'm "doing"...)

Isn't there anybody with CDxtract out there?
From what I know it should at least get the raw mappings more or less right and export to a variety of other formats - I'll gladly finetune for Battery 1+2 and DR-008 but I really don't want to do it all manually again...

For me VSampler load almost perfectly your kits: #1 is ok, but #2 and perf. cymbals need a bit of envelope tweaking... Something that could be done in 5 minutes.GIRO wrote: VSampler= a HALion mimic gone the wrong way!

Not too bad for one of the cheapest soft sampler.

just now learned about all this, and had no time to read all the 11 pages. Sascha, what I did is using Awave9.4 which finally converts to Battery (1) like a breeze - in older versions I had many crashes.
I couldn't load the original file into AWAVE, (might learn how to do) so took the sf2-files (the corrected ones after your finding-out of a mistake) from Patrice instead,= the 16bit-files.
So
1 Awave made a battery-file, version1, and put the samples from the sf2 into a folder on my harddrive C:\
2 I imported those 2 battery-files into DR008 and saved them. The larger file (with samples in the bank ) are too big, but I could upload the others the other file (you'll have to tell DR008 where the sample-folder is then) over at Spe3d's auditorium.
I don't know if this is any good for anyone, but I'll upload the 4 files (Battery1, as Awave has no Battery2 up to now, and DR008) at the Auditorium.
I've not much time right now, but IF this would be any good for anyone, I could easily produce files for the DS404 (Computermusic's sampler) or LM4-kit or whatever Awave can produce.
I didn't even have time to play with the wonderful sounding kit, so if something's wrong with the files, let me know and maybe in some days I could look after it.
Don't know, Sascha, if this battery-file is of any use for you?

Would be great to have those files, Klemperer. I could try replacing the samples with the 24bit ones...
