So there I was just about to buy Pristine space lite online. Voxengo's site said they're not selling it anymore. Why not? Can I still get it anywhere?

Rumour is Voxengo sold the rights of PSL to Cakewalk. Version 5 of Sonar now includes a convolution reverb called "Perfect Space" which misteriously resembles Pristine Space Light.

There is no pristine space light and there never has been. In space, no one sees you cry.
BTW, we're running out of pristine space alltogether due to man caused pollution. At the next Meeting of the Intergalactic Board, on 1E 59 7A, the human problem will be the first point on the agenda, and the Pyramid Party will likely plea for the simultaneous detonation of all pyramids on Earth, followed up with another Flood & Ark routine so things settle down nicely as man goes back to the Stone Age - once again.
One man could prevent this though. Man... or astro-man? Space Bones is the son of an early Bones clone made and trained for the military and a speck of stardust, stuck in a teardrop on the face of Lady DT, a former muso lad who turned into a space mutant starlet due to excessive reverb abuse. Space Bones has five arms, 6 LEDS, and forehead USB. He's speeding to our Quadrant as I type in a valiant effort to save Earth and his fave brand of dog food!

D'oh -- I got it on the GB a while back, and now it looks as if I'll get the same thing again if and when I upgrade to Sonar 5. Ah well, that's life. I'm pleased to support Aleksey, as with all small devs. (And there's no telling when I'll have enough money to upgrade from Sonar 3, for that matter.)

Meffy you could always ask cakewalk if there's an upgrade path from pristine space light to sonar 5.

Yeah Meffy I already have PSL, Pentagon, and PYSN 2 (from P5v2), so I'll be getting a lot of overlap in Sonar 5 (which will hopefully arrive this week), but I'm happy everyone else will get these things. I've heard some Sonar users dismiss Pentagon apparently because it has been around a while, but I think they will be pleasantly surprised when they get it. The last bank of Big Tone presets with the 1.4 upgrade really sold me on it.
PSL currently is the only Voxengo plug I own, but I'm looking to change that soon.

i love the way cakewalk has been hooking up with some of the best small developers lately (rgcAudio, voxengo). quality stuff.

xRAVENx: Shrewd idea, that! But from 3P to 5P is probably a better discount. :-)
Frunobulax & JF: Yup, I've impressed with Triangle II. I'm sure its big brother Pentagon is a powerhouse too.

I really lucked out on the S5 upgrade. I passed on the GB for PSL and bought Cameleon5K instead of Pentagon. Now I'll get both and more for the price of an upgrade. Lucky, lucky me.
