I received my Resonance CD a couple days ago. Still have to listen to it, since my parents have been in town all weekend. So I haven't even posted much the past week or so because of that and my new job, etc. This is so close that I'mVERY amazed. We've made WELL over what we expected with pre-orders. Kovacs, that Paypal account should be looking mighty full right now!
Any word on cover printing? All the duplication companies I've worked with do that also in our deals. Are we using somebody different for that? Just curious, and if we are, do we have a quote yet?
Keep it up ya'll. We're turning this into something most people didn't DREAM of!

I'll have the receptor and a coke please, thanks!
Markus
p.s. tune is going up on the server in a few hours, I'm swamped with work currently, so it got a little tight with the tune in the end.

Uhm, just an idea (maybe this has been suggested before):
Wouldn't it be a good idea to update the chrysalid website http://www.katrinareliefcd.com/ with some more info on the music/artists that will be on the cd?
I would like to send some friends and other people over there, but when there's no reference to the artists on that page, the offer might not be interesting enough for them to go ahead and order....
The current playlist could be used I think, as submissions have stopped by now.
Just a thought!

Yeah, we have been waiting for the deadline before we put anything up. We're also waiting for the CD art design. I think the site should be touched up this week.

Great, I hope to get some people to buy the CD by contacting them personally and offering to buy it for them so they can pay whenever I deliver it to them.
This way it will work better I suppose for all my (Dutch) friends who don't want to pay anything through the internet...
Hope you can fix things up pretty soon, so the marketing of this thing can take off...
I'll keep an eye on the site before spamming my contact list!

Yes -- this is in the queue -- as Kovacs said, we want to put the artists info up on the web with the Katrina CD artwork. Should be a couple of days...UskanK wrote:Great, I hope to get some people to buy the CD by contacting them personally and offering to buy it for them so they can pay whenever I deliver it to them.

==> N O T I C E <==
The deadline has officially passed for uploads as of about 1 hour ago, so I am closing off the list.
Artists that have not uploaded their tracks will be removed from the list.
We will hear emergency appeals, but they better happen quick-like! SO GET ON THE STICK!!!
ALSO, IF YOU HAVE NOT SUBMITTED A BIO AND THE ARTIST NAME YOU WISH TO USE AND/OR ARE REGISTERED IN ASCAP/BMI WITH, YOU BETTER GET BUSY ==> Otherwise, I'll just have to make one up for you, like: "Weezilboy -- Loves to make music with his pet monkey and is best known for sampling the digestive noises emitted from Elephant esophagi..."
Cheers,
Alex

Got my Resonance CD today. Now, about that Receptor!!! Or Chameleon.
Anyhow, some good tracks on that disk. I'm looking forward to getting my copy of Chrysalid.
Now, how many copies are we going to press to start out? Just curious. How many of the Resonance CDs got printed, how many sold before the free offer, etc.?

I think freeztar has an offer to print 500 double CDs. We've already sold 111 of them so we should at least be able to sell 350-400 in total, maybe even more if we can gear up our marketing.

The plan is to press 500. The resonance cd sold around 300 copies if I remember correctly. A good goal is to aspire to sell the entrie stock and I think we have a good chance at that. It all comes down to marketing really.rockstar_not wrote:Got my Resonance CD today. Now, about that Receptor!!! Or Chameleon.

We will be using Duplium. The will do everything from pressing to cellophane. The quote is $1250 (minus shipping) for 500 double cds. The best deal around by far and they seem to be a quality replicator. We will also recieve a barcode.koolkeys wrote: Any word on cover printing?
