Chord Generator?

Does anyone know of or recommend a plugin or seperate app that is able to generate harmonic alternatives to a chord sequence?
I'm trying to generate alternative but related chord sequences for a song I'm creating. I'd like to be able to input a midi chord sequence and have the progam output alternative chord sequences.
I'd prefer something simple without too many excess features. I hope I've explained this adequately.

There are 2 good products that does it.
Band in a box is a stand alone app, but you can export to midi and interchange with your sequencer. JMt orchestration works as a MFX plug in and does not really create chord progressions. It just create the chords based on the progression you tell it to use.
I used BIAB a fair bit and if you get the whoole box og style sets you can go a far way. You can let it jazzify your chords, meaning it will work out alternatives the way you want. The bonus is that it works as a drum sequenser and for bass patterns very well too.

Cheers! Thanks for that advice. I've got JMt which is very good but I find it a bit complicated to get results. I'd like to input a sequence of notes and generate chords and variations very quickly. I'll try BIAB to see if it works for me.

I´d recommend Jammer Pro, but in the beginning it´s not really easy to work with:

I tried the BIAB, Jammer Pro and CAMPS apps but there seems like a bit of a learning curve going on there. They probably do what I need but I had hoped for something simpler. I'll try to learn them in the meantime.

All the best. Hope you find one that works for you. Unfortunately each one will have some learning curve.

Wow! Thanx vista!
I'm going to try them all. Ultrachord looks very interesting. Thanx to everyone who's advised me. You can always count on people at KVR to know where to look for something. KVR is great for finding out about all these hard to find apps, many of which are free.

BIAB is pretty good, and not too expensive. I've used it on and off for about 10 years now, and it gets better with each iteration and set of "Styles," which are pretty varied. If you buy one of their Megapaks, you get the whole kaboodle. The auto chord substitution feature is a real treat.
If I were going to pick at BIAB, it is a little "retirement home karaoke" or "muzaky" or "holiday inn cocktail lounge" in its productions: It's hard to find anything that really rocks. But, you can always tidy up the MIDIs it generates in other ways, or tighten them up with the various options the program gives you.
What I'm saying is, if you're expecting some real slamming organ trio, as an example, you might end up with something more like 'Tie A Yellow Ribbon' from the Wallace & Gromit movie, "The Wrong Trousers"

Vista: great link - I found 'Nut Chord' there:
http://home.planet.nl/~kerkh877/guitar/nc.zip
which is a really useful app that converts or creates chords on either a fretboard or keyboard. Its ideal for me as I compose (well, thats what I call it anyway) on guitar and then have to spend hours transposing that to a keyboard to use in my DAW - Nut Chords makes that operation way quicker. Its got more features than that, so check it out
