Hi All,
I've just done a OS reinstall and I've lost the freeware cd ripper I'd been using

I think it was called Free CD Ripper

(but so are plenty more, I've found out today) It had one nifty feature, it had a option to get the track listing (if used when online) and named the ripped tracks, rather than numbering them 1/2/3 etc, and having to manually name them. Any ideas on which ripper it was, or suggestions for a replacement? I don't use it that often, so just a basic ripper would be ok.

I can highly recommend CD Burner XP. Not only rips CDs, but also burns music AND data CDs. It's Swedish, it's free, it's reliable and did I mention free? You can find their download page at: http://www.cdburnerxp.se/download.php

Another excellent free one is the venerable Audiograbber.

Thats what I use. AFAIK its the only one that uses error checking like a proper CD player..
