Seriously Midiworks, that mytemdir.com looks unprofessional. It makes the eager downloader wait a bit for his download and is full of advertisment. A direct download link would have been much better.

Post

Btw, does your daughter sing any better now or did she quit the singing business? ( serious question, not making fun or anything )

Sorry, for PC only.

If your plugin is a Synth-edit/synth-maker creation, Say So.
If not Make a Mac version of your Plugins Please.

I have not heard her for quite some time...
You like her frensh accent, eh ! ;)
(I can ask her.)

@realmarco
Mac versions would be great, I know...
I will look into it later.
But please dont count on it.
I first need to finish the guitar amp for PC,
after this I will try to port it to Mac.
Later than other things.

LOL, what the heck is goin on?!!!! Is your intention to put Antares aVox out of business?! LOL

Midi, how would you explain that it takes you 3 days to do somthing it took them over 2 years to develop?

Post

Honestly, and without a single mean intention whatsoever, that is one of the scariest things I've ever heard.

He didn't dude, obviously you never have used them both... I could make a synthedit plugin just like he did trying to "copy" the AVOX software. This is stupid because Midi is trying to use Antares' ideas to profit off of his sub-par plugins to the point he is misleading people... I think this is probably actually illegal. Unfortunately Midi cannot forge his own path in the VST world, all he can do is rip off ideas and mislead people.

I'll just post what FRITZMAN (and several others echoed) said in another thread:
It sounds poor. It's buggy. It does not sound as good as Antares Duo and it doesn't even mimic all of it's functionality so how can it be an Antares clone?
Sorry man, but obviously it's you who didn't do his R&D. If you would have done so you would have recognized that Antares is using a completely different DSP technique than you. It's way more complicated than your delay gimmick. A little delay feedback is far from the vocal timbre in Antares Duo. It doesn't even remotely sound similar.
But you wanted me to compare it, so I did.
In the end your plugin is a chorus with a random LFO plus a short delay with a feedback knob which you call Vocal timbre.

Do you wanna know why I'm so upset? Because I hate it when people fake stuff and then have a big mouth full of wannabe marketing. Do you remember all the kids in the music shop playing smoke on the water? Ain't talking bout love? Everybody played it but only a few played it convincingly. That's my point.
YOU imply that your plugin is at least as good as Antares Duo if not better, it doesn't have this and that prob, etc. After comparing I found out that your plugin is a buggy alpha version of a wannabe Antares clone. Alpha means: All functionality is implemented. In your plugin is NOT all of the Antares functionality implemented, your vocal timbre knob is a joke. A beta version is feature complete bus is not fully tested. Your plugin is not fully tested as it's really buggy.

Post

jasonsantiago, he was talking about the first beta version, that I released to prove a point. ;)

And you forgot they they bashed and insulted me for no reason whatsoever, from page 1 on...
This was not nice, not nice at all.

Edit:
and you feel the need to post this again here...:(
As I said before, I leave this up to the user to decide,
they can try, compare and make there own decision.

Not at all, if you think its worth $600, please go ahead. (or if you are on Mac)
I only give the possibility of using the tools, to the many who can not afort
this price range and/or that unjustified CPU usage. ;)
A3ntar wrote:Midi, how would you explain that it takes you 3 days to do somthing it took them over 2 years to develop?
Well, why do you think it took or takes me only 3 days ?
You must know, we were working on that guitar amp for over a year now.
So a lot of unused DSP code went into the archive.
All I need to do is to open that box and re-use it in a new/different way.
So nothing really scary. 8)

They sure spend some time on Throat, even tho personally, I am not impressed.
But that much time ? I cant believe that one second.
Sounds to me rather like a justification for the high price they ask.

Also that un-nessesary high cpu usage shows,
that this was rather a quick shot than over 2 years work. ;)

Contrary to great products like AutoTune, Infinity, MicModeler or Kantos.
Those are inovative and creative tool, that justify the price. :)
