are there any doppler effect vsts our there? i'm thinking something like the audiomulch doppler effect, but in vst form, obviously. or something like audition's doppler effect, but in real time.
2nd, what about a free spring reverb? i want something REALLY twangy. i looked around and there seem to be some available, but nothing twangy enough for me so far.
and 3rdly, are there any step-filters that you can use grooves in? i mean, usually, you just choose 8th/16th/32nd notes and put in a pattern, but i'd like to be able to put in some swung samba 16th notes, and those don't fit right in line with normal 16th notes. any ideas?

I haven't tried it, but you might be able to get the doppler with something like mda's round pan...worth a shot & the mda plugs are great anyway

there's PSP Springverb which is free with Computer Music magazine and also PSP Pianoverb, which isn't really spring but it's twangy

my plugins scuzzphut6 and scuzzphut6.5-lite are patterngates with swing - but not filters
On the upside, Camelspace will do exactly that and it's on a group buy just now (if it hasn't finished

you know what scuzzphut, you actually DO have a step filter that will work like i wanted. you just didn't know it! i got your philterkeyz plug and am using it as a step filter. all i had to do was create the sequence to control philterkeyz in a separate midi file in tracktion and apply my groove to that sequence, and it works like i'd wanted. i thought of doing this with dfx's rez synth before, but that one only does bandpass filter, whereas yours is low pass, so it works. thanks!

For doppler effects, there used to be one around called AIdoppler. It was made by an old KVR member (Albert maybe?). Last I checked it had gone 404, but maybe Google will lead you to it.
For spring reverb, sadly none of the software labelled as such sound anything like actual spring reverbs. Some of them are still good for some things, but don't expect them to sound much like a spring reverb.
A neat hardware alternative I saw recently was posted in a thread over at OSX Audio by a guy named Kubi. Check it out if you're inclined towards DIY hardware.
Cheers,
Steve
