Does anyone have some music they have made with ST2 that I could listen to on the net?
I have had SampleTank for almost a year, I tinker with it but never put it in a song. I always find some other VST that just sounds better for the situation.

It's probably me, just too lazy to eek a good sound out of ST.

I have a few things I started with some ST2 on them... This song (unfinished) has slap bass (sounds cool) and some pad stuff... Logic 7.1!

Cheers! :)

Thanks! That's pretty sweet bass, was the pad made in ST2 as well? Or was the whole tune done in ST?

It is not hard to get a good sound out of SampleTank 2. If you want to hear it in action then go to www.sampletank.com and look at the list of artists that use it. Pick up Eminem's 8 Mile soundtrack and you'll be listening to tons of SampleTank or the Matrix Reloaded score or a ton of other things. If you want to hear it in music demos then go to www.esoundz.com for some inspiration, if you want to hear user's music then go to www.sonikelements.com in the listening section. There have also been a lot of posts here in the SR forum from users too.

I can't understand how someone could own this plug-in and work with virtual instruments and NOT use it. It's like the glue for your set up (especially if you some SR sounds for it :D ). Because it is a workstation and you can pull it out for various needs or even to shape sounds with using the advanced engines and built-in effects. It's useful for any style of music I can think of. It's just so fast to use too. Get into it dude!

Most of the drums are sampletank 1 or 2 (with some grooves from Grooveagent but not the sounds)(even the 2001 stuff was revamped in 2003 or 2004 with new drum samples). Pretty much any synth or strings etc is ST1, ST2 or SS2. Most (but not all) of the bass is me playing a bass. (try and find the ST2 bass track.... ha ha).

Try Tilly (http://www.hairthieves.com/mus/songs/tilly_192.mp3) though. Bar the guitar (me playing), steambell and intro noise(soundfonts) all of that is ST2 I believe. (I am playing with the idea of redoing all the strings in Miroslav as an exercise in learning to better program strings)

I have just made a song with only ST2 and amplitube, sequenced in Tracktion. Just one instance of ST2, with 8 instruments.

You must go to http://www.soundclick.com/thepqueninproject, the song is called Wicked World Syndrome (sounds like a kind of progressive rock thing ?)...

Mr. Tunes' Sampletank Demo 2003

This is something I did when it first came out. The file says it's from 2003. Since doing this one I dont think I have anything that is specifically just ST2 sounds, everything I did had a mix of sonic synth in it too... but this one is just ST2. Oh yeah and it has the weirdest ending ever dont ask me.

I made it at the time to go up on the IK website as an "urban demo" but it wasn't good enough to make the cut. If you haven't heard what goes up there it's always very tight- people like Squids and Larry do top demos. Granted of course my chops are a little better now and I have a better handle on coaxing love out of the patches so we'll see if i can make it up there one day for Sampletank 3 or something. Maybe in my next life?
