When it comes to spectral matching, which do you prefer?

CurveEQ without a doubt. Firium really sucks with matching as I have seen ! Try CurveEQ on around 30 band matching and you get great results, very similar to Steinberg Freefilter. Firium however, produces completely terrible sounding results. I tried these both a while back, I suggest you also give them a shot and see how you go.
An awesome matching plugin was Freefilter but that's not sold anymore... CurveEQ is as good as that though, and ironically, it's also cheaper that both Firium and Freefiler !
Good luck
