I was also thinking of making a loophole rule where you can do a cover of Edgar Winter's "Frankenstein" or Alice Cooper's "Feed My Frankenstein". ;) Doubted there'd be any takers, though. :P

At any rate, perhaps we'll tweak the rules tomorrow, especially when pHz wakes up and gets his first exposure to them. Really, I see this as a mix of a few contests we've done in the past: Found Sounds (Microphone), KVR Loops, and past Halloween entries. I think a lot of initially-hesitant people found they liked their experience on those in the end.

But I'm crashing for now. Try not to tear up the place while I'm asleep, okay kids?

I only see one problem from where I'm sitting - I'm a newbie to these competitions, with just 2 months under my belt.
I would therefore have to wade through years worth of music I've not heard to find a minutes worth that I want to use. It's reasonably time consuming listening to the current crop - never mind how many hours worth of past entries? :?

I don't have the time to do that but would have loved to have done something Halloweeny and Spooky but, sorry, I feel I must bow out for this month due to time constraints. ie - I've got more to do than listen to several hours of past entries, carefully so as to pick parts I want to use, before I can even start making one.

Have fun though guys, I just feel a little alienated from this one. :(

just pick bits at random mick and make whatever you can from those ... kind of objets trouve music ...

(its my plan anyway)

I´ve never done this kind of stuff, nice challenge, although the winner might be known : utm...

And as long as there´s no Receptor in the game...
Carpo diem ergo sum !

Thanks for the flattery, but don't believe it. I don't claim to be any good at Frankenmusic, I just do it for fun. BTW, if anyone's interested, I posted something for last month's challenge...

You can limit that search by only looking at the Halloween/scary kinds of thems. I'd encourage you to try. I've never done anything like this either and it sounds like a blast.

It's not that I'm against the theme or anything. :)
It's a good idea and I'll still listen to the results, regardless of if I have a go or not. It's gonna bring some really interesting stuff up, I'm sure of that. :D
But I've got other stuff on the simmer that I'd like to be paying attention to.

It's all about time. 8)
