Kontakt 1 and 2 together?

I'm contemplating Kontakt 2 for library considerations but I still have projects that are using Kontakt 1,and I really would like to get aquainted with it at my leisure running them both side by side.Is this possible? Or does Kontakt 2 overwite Kontakt 1's .dll's. Just curious.

You can keep both, no problem. And both libraries as well. When I was younger I used to be in doubt. These days I'm not so sure.
