I 've just installed this for my kid to mess around with (on an old P3 800 !).
Fantastic fun !
Haven't got a midi keyboard though - is it possible to use the pc keyboard to play synths ?
cheers

See your PM.
Basically yes - you need MIDI Yoke and MIDI OX (or, depending on your OS, there may be other alternatives). MIDI OX has a PC Keyboard to MIDI mode. Connect MIDI OX's MIDI Output to MIDI Yoke. Connect CMuzys's MIDI Input to the same MIDI Yoke port.

Great - works a treat !
Got latency of 256 so far (I guess around 12ms).
One thing though - the Midi Ox window has to have focus for keyboard input to work.
This make "live" mouse tweaking impossible e.g as soon as I bring the vsti up (ie. CM101) note input ceases.
Is there any workaround for this ?

Other than buying a cheap MIDI controller, not really. How would it know you weren't typing in a filename, for example, if it kept watching what you typed?basic channel wrote:Is there any workaround for this ?
eBay usual has a few for under £50 - and some much cheaper.
