Hunt for a decent Reverb...

Now that I'm downsizing most of my plugins, I find that I am really lacking a decent free or relatively inexpensive reverb. I've tried the K Classic reverb, which is ok, but lacks a certain something...the Fruity reverb is nice, but unuseable in other host software (which is kinda sucky really) and SIR causes delay and takes so much looking after, what with all the impulses and all. I know there are a heap of free but dodgy reverbs out there and I found the old RGC reverb which looks good, but is sadly unavailable.
Is anyone familiar with it or a good reverb that is either free, yet unknown or very inexpensive?
Steve

these arent free but der the best
arts acoustic reverb
sonic flavours r66
and princeton 2016 stereo room
and thats dat der are no decent free reverbs at the moment- you can get better reverb from guitar pedals than from most vst plugs
i like fruity reverb but i find it floods the low end of the mix

I'd recommend arts acoustic reverb, you won't get it for free, but you can help pushing them towards having a group buy:

Ooohh..group buy...lemme have a looksee.
Thanks guys. I guess I just discovered Ambience as well and now just trying out Ariesverb which is quite unusual. Also, that Magalovereverb over at the Auditorium is astoundingly decent for a free plugin even if it is still beta.
Glaceverb is nice for strange sonic flavours. I use the Final Mix preset all the time.

Ambience sounds rather metallic but is is sooo configurable that i can't quit using it
Glace verb is a must-have
SH-1 reverb is rather decent, free, and doesn't eat your cpu.
Aries Verb is amazing, i asked the developer for a skinned versio, and he told me it was planned among other improvements ! So let's ask him again !
Have a look at the one from Luxonix Lfx-1300, it's good.
Voxengo oldschoolverb, a nice one, but quite unusual.
and, of course, still SIR.
all of them are free or donationware.

Yes, I just discovered that one. It's really quite nice for free. Do you know if the guy is still developing it? It would be worth it I think.wsaidah wrote:magalov reverb this thing makes good small rooms http://audio-shots.com/mainuploads/maga ... .1_170.zip

Glaceverb is nice for special fx I think. I like Ambience and will keep it...but it does have a metallic non smooth sound at times. I do love a smooth reverb like the old Ultrafunk one. Ariesverb is promising at first glace and use actually.
Thanks...

Thanks...

ariesverb is better for unusual effects than as a reverb, IMO.

SH-1 plugin is a free bundle from a japanese guy.
Ican't remember the correct url, but the search engine on that site or google should work fine.
