Ican't remember the correct url, but the search engine on that site or google should work fine.
I did find his site, but the SH1 page is not there.

I just tested the Free reverbers with my HeadPhones.

GlaceVerb is the best IMHO. Sounds very good, and CPU usage is very low.

Ambience sounds good too, but CPU usage at 100% Quality is 3 times GlaceVerb, and not worth.

AriesVerb is good for anything but Reverber usage. But CPU usage is half of GlaceVerb. Good if you got an old processor.

If you got some money to spare, check out Anwida DX Reverber, as it does the best GATE and INVERSE Reverbers I could found. CPU usage is around 25% more than GlaceVerb, but it does stuff that GV doesn't.

They got a DX Free version too: http://www.kvraudio.com/get/919.html

Ambience definitely has a certain 'flavour' about it. If you want more smoothness, don't forget to twiddle the knobs a bit-- the diffusion knob in particular.

With the right settings, I actually find it warmer than some of my other reverbs.

When it comes to 'verb, though, I have to admit that I've also not yet been able to find a real 'one or two' to put into my folder. Here's my current line-up, all of which get used:

- Kjaerhus Classic, usually for sketch-work, but sometimes when it comes time for final mixing, my ears are already so used to the KC Reverb that it's pointless substituting something else!

-Convo Boy with Noisevault and Spectral Relativity impulses. The former for standard reverb duty, of course.

-SpinAudio RoomverbM2. Simply the best and most flexible reverb I own. I'm sure that everything possible in my other non-impulse reverbs could be reproduced in Roomverb, but I just don't always take the time. The preset list is impressive and useful, though.

-Ambience. It has a character that no other reverb has. Also, that 'hold' button is good for some nifty wash effects.

-PSP PianoVerb. The name makes me believe that it works well with piano sounds. :D Psychosematic effect, but I do tend to throw it on my pianos a lot.

its in a link at the bottom of the products page where it says Download Old buzzroom vst plugins.

It almost trasnparent cpu wise. Couldnt believe it.

I just tested the Kjaerhus Classic, and its very good indeed. Its listed as "Classic Reverber" here at KVR. Just a shame that it doesn't do long-spaces. As the CPU usage is indeed very low compared to the quality of the audio.

I actually don't mind the KC Reverb. It sounds warm and dark, but for certain sounds, it does seem to have a grainy quality to it. It isn't great for long tails though.

Thanks for all that guys.
I love the Anwida free reverb. Always have. It is limited but has a very smooth and unintrusive quality about it. If only they offered the pro version of it as a VST plugin!! I'd definitely consider it in that case.

Just curious, what host are you using? Even with Tracktion I could use the DX Reverber, using a DX-VST wrapper. Never had any problems. But yes, they should do a VST version, and make it a bit cheaper. But hey, that's just me. ;-)

I mainly use T2, but I['m not too keen on using a wrapper just for one plugin. I used to use DX plugs all the time, but decided to move only to VST. Makes it easier to keep trackl of everything and doesn't fill the registry up !!
I just emailed them actually to suggest it. Although I'm sure they've had it before.
Now WK..how's about a decent and cheapish reverb eh? Gotta tell you, Wusikstation is bloody decent :)

I'd been planning to get R66 in the next few weeks,
but after reading this thread I can see that ArtsAcoustic's reverb is also an option...
any guidance would be appreciated.
