PalancarWare Empire possibly the best free reverb out?

I've been looking for months (quite possibly years) for a reverb that sounds really natural and that does not "color" the sound. Low and behold I try this free PalancarWare Empire reverb and it gives me this clear uncolored sound. Other advantages is that it is really small so you can have many instances in your enviroment without getting mad clicks and glitches. I chalange anyone that can find a better free or nonfree reverb on the market... and not those latency inflicted convolution reverbs plz...

This is certainly a very good one. No GUI, but who cares. I just tried it in a song i'm working on and it's on par and maybe even better than Glaceverb.
Thanks, nice find!

In the endless reaches of the universe, there once existed a planet known as Krypton, a planet that burned like a green star in the distant heavens. There, civilization was far advanced and it brought forth a race of "supermen," whose mental and physical powers were developed to the absolute peak of human perfection. But there came a day when giant quakes threatened to destroy Krypton forever. One of the planet's leading scientists, sensing the approach of doom, placed his infant son in a small rocket ship and sent it hurtling in the direction of the Earth just as Krypton exploded. The rocket sped through star-studded space, landing safely on Earth with its precious burden: Krypton's sole survivor. A passing motorist found the uninjured child and took it to an orphanage. As the years went by and the child grew to maturity, he found himself possessed of amazing physical powers. Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound... the infant of Krypton is now the Man of Steel, Palancar. To best be in a position to use his amazing powers in a never-ending battle for truth and justice, Palancar has assumed the disguise of dburgan, mild-mannered ambient honcho , and plug-in developer.

Anyone have any luck with the Mac version? Can't get it to show in Live (could it be that it's OS9 only?).

Ummm .... thanks! I guess I should get around to releasing this update to that plugin one of these days. Nothing too spectacular in it, just a few more models and ... presets!
However, with no false humility, I really have to take exception that Empire is the best free reverb around. SmartElectronix's Ambience takes the cake for me. Empire's a weird little plugin that has its uses but isn't really intended to be an all-around general purpose verb. Empire's really nothing more than an extension to Jezar's Freeverb, with the primary extension being some filtering and compression on the reverb tail. You can accomplish the same thing with any reverb by using it on an aux bus at 100% wet and following the reverb with a nice multiband compressor and a highpass filter ...
