Thanks everyone, What a surprise!

I feel a little guilty winning prizes when I'm here to help, but I appreciate the kind gesture from the developers and KvR members who facilitated this endeavor. Let's hope we make a positive difference for those in need.

pHz, the artwork looks tremendous, don't forget to contact me if you need any help.

Cheers all. :D

Hey YOU!!!! (original, yes?)

Congratulations!!!

I agree the artwork looks great. Let's hope our tracks stand up to the challenge.

I'm a sucker for nice cover art - in fact, it's how I buy about 1/2 my CDs without first listening to them. About 75% of those purchases are worth it. So, I'll keep on with this method.

Just a NOTE on the prize awards...

The prizes awarded by our KVR developers is their way of contributing, just as we are contributing with our songs and other efforts. It goes well. :)

It really is a stunning example of communal cooperation here at KVR that really works, and shows how effective we can all be when something like the tsunami and Katrina tragedies occur and motivate us all. Pretty awesome us pulling together like this. Further words fail me. :)

Agreed, the devs have stepped up big. And you guys are doing a huge amount of behind the scenes coordination to make this stuff happen.

Housing Promises Made to Evacuees Have Fallen Short
Red Cross to Halt Hotel Stipends in 2 Weeks, And Hundreds of Shelters Have Closed

By Spencer S. Hsu and Elizabeth Williamson

_________________________________________
Two weeks before President Bush's mid-October goal for moving Hurricane Katrina victims out of shelters, more than 100,000 people still reside in such makeshift housing, and 400,000 more are in hotel rooms costing up to $100 a night.

Housing options promised by the federal government a month ago have largely failed to materialize. Cruise ships and trailer parks have so far proved in large part to be unworkable, while an American Red Cross program -- paid for by the federal government -- that allows storm victims to stay in motels or hotels is scheduled to expire Oct. 15. It is projected to cost the Federal Emergency Management Agency as much as $168 million...

That's a bit disturbing...
I've never paid $100 a night for a hotel room (well, except for one night in Manhattan).

Builds the case for Habitat for Humanity me thinks eh? ;)

And another preorder!!

I think the RC is doing what it can and simply needs more funds, but it appears the logistics management is out of whack on the Fed side

I just read that FEMA ordered a hundred million dollars of ice cubes for food preservation and 80% of them were never used...

...maybe a case of too many chiefs and not enough indians?

Whatever -- it appears to be a grand disaster on all counts -- Mother Nature and human. :|

Ok kiddies...i'm uploading 5 tracks to the FTP THey will be in a folder named Mastered Tracks. These tracks have made it past the mastering stage and are ready for the CD...but, i would like to hear the author's opinions of how they sound. Keep in mind, i originally had 10 mastered..but after listening to them on a range of different mediums, i wasn't satisfied at all...so i went through them all i'm polishing up my work on them...These represent the first batch that i'm content with. So, in my perception, each one has been mastered as well as it could be in respect to each author's production methods.

Guess i should list the tracks that are in that folder huh?

AllenPoet-Live From The SuperDome (The Waiting Game)

DanToothill-Crestfallen

Haydxn-Wash

JaX-By Your Side

Mystahr-Sokatrines

anyones feedback is greatly appreciated. They should be finished uploading within a half hour to 45 minutes of this post. So make sure you don't download them until then. :)
