sorry to be such a nitpicker.... but if you listen to the demos to Nevermind where the old drummer still plays the songs - even the drum tracks are the same... only Grohl played them way better

oh sorry mate... bleach isn't pop(ular) but it's far from being crap.... that said - even Kurt didn't like it that muchJbravo wrote:okay I did some research and you're right. I assumed from the similarity with the Foo Fighters that he was responsible for the sound of Nevermind. But still "Bleach" was a pile of pretentious crap - but then it's hardly considered a classic anyway!Dunbar wrote:Jbravo?
Dave Grohl didn't write anything on Nevermind and only had a hand in one song (Scentless Apprentice) on In Utero - and that's not exactly a "pop classic".
Dave Grohl writes mediocre pop for mediocre people; if it wasn’t for Nirvana he would be unknown.
the first and only Nirvana song Dave ever wrote was Marigold (a bside to ...erm.. heart shaped box if I remember correctly)
still the second FooFigthers record is pretty good I think

Now, on to the topic. I know some of these have been covered but my list looks better with them in:
Morrissey - Why no-one killed that f**ker before he grew up is beyond me.
Pearl Jam - There are literally thousands of bands who, given the same opportunities as those losers, could have done as well or better.
Coldplay, Radiohead, et al - Simpering wimps, one and all.
Beck - Wanker!
Bjork - Boring as bat-shit.
Kylie Minogue - Just because she can sing better than she can act doesn't make her any good. And she looks like a slutty school girl as opposed to a sexy woman.
VNV Nation - In fact all trance and trance related music. its like endless remixes of the same thing as opposed to different songs in the same genre. In fact remixes would have more variety.
Drum 'n' Bass - See above.
Reggae - Same.
Well, that will do for starters.
