Wow, this is a dream machine. I've been tooling around with it for the last 4 hours or so. Got 8 presets done. this is the first soft synth I've tried that really makes me want to dig in and get my hands dirty making new presets . . . which is actually kind of dumb 'cause there are so many kick ass ones from TC . . . haven't even worked my way through all these yet.

THANKS!

Some users on win98 se were experiencing troubles.. Are you one of those?
Unfortunately no, WinXP here. Not recognised as a valid plugin by minihost or eXT.

eXT told me that the first time I opened it but I'd used the drag/drop method (I often do for testing stuff out before installing). When I installed it in it's own directory it loaded fine and continues to.

I´m using it in eXT, no problems here.

Thanks, all it took was coming through the window instead of the front door. Must remember that trick.

I also had no problems loading it in minihost

I think it's a consequence of the way Synthedit plugins work. When you first use the dll it creates it's own subdirectory with support files in. I don't know but maybe the first time it loads if you drag/drop esp or don't create a folder for it, it can't find that dir so you get a false reading.

These are some patches I made using XT's generator. Basically I took the factory presets, and morphed and mixed them, editing parts where neccesary.

You may say it's not very original, but I'm interested in what the computer can seemingly "make" without my input. I just had to decide what sounded good.

This is a valid way to work with this plugin. As mentioned before, you can randomize, merge, blend, and come up with interesting stuff. Then tweak it to perfection. Some of my patches were done this way( but only after doing several from scratch and using those as seeds)

also a note on one of my patches: I had fun with [SEQ HOLD and RUN]. Basically I created 3 different sequences, then using the envelopes, had them come in at different times. But you need to hold down the key for at least 30 seconds to get the full evolution. It sorta sounds like the Pink Floyd RUN sequence, thus the title.I used it in my demo piece. Theres also a few patches that you do have to hold down some keys for a little bit to hear ever the evolution( a lot of my patches for other synths are this way, like M42 or Cameleon)

anyway: have fun!! The more the better

also: any tunes yet?

ooh most of my sounds are made for lower registers longer notes btw :)
thats where they will work best :)

I had much fun with this 2 nights ago. It inspired me to humbly ask for a feature request.

This is the first synth, where I felt like I wanted to 'paint' the GUI to adjust parameters.

I think it would be very cool to allow the mouse to be a large 'brush' and as you sweep the mouse across the screen, any GUI control within a 1" range would get dialed 'up' for mouse movements up and to the right, and 'down' for mouse movements down and to the left.

Does this make sense? The visual effect would be entertaining alone, with those ultra-cool sparkly star position indicators.

Very fun beast.
