sometimes i think it'd be funny to pick a popular genre and churn out some tasty tunes in the style, then get myself an image and some rumors and laugh all the way to the bank. i wonder how many are out there milkin their public with music they don't really like.

If I could do it, it's what I would do. Even if it was a genre I hated, I think it's possible to do songs of a popular genre with integrity and it would fund doing other music I was more interested in.
Unfortunately, catchy stuff doesn't really come to me very easily... writing something catchy is a somewhat underrated talent I find, even if it's infectious rubbish.

yea, it happens in the tv industry all the time. i've been in the "made to order" world. i got out.robenestobenz wrote:Even if it was a genre I hated, I think it's possible to do songs of a popular genre with integrity.
there are already manufactured artists. the whole real tv "character" thing is silly. stage persona is different. i think it's weird to care about an artist's life off stage. however, if i found out rob zombie ate babies, i'd stop listening
