ever since i started using audiomulch (and eXT) a few weeks ago, i have actually been making music again.
i use neither of those two to their full potential, but it feels like i can just do what i want, right away. as far as i am concerned, audiomulch is one of the most intuitive hosts out there - it does have its limitations, but those are fine by me, because it sets the frame within which i can make music - and if i am really desperate, i can always launch FL or eXT as a VSTi in audiomulch...
i've never come across it crackling, either - which is why i love improvising on the fly - i can insert new effects or change routings in realtime, and still no dropouts.
that being said, i do avoid running eXT in audiomulch, because it has lead to some crashes with a few of my vsti's...

Well, not sure they've figured out the problem, but...stale bread wrote:after you guys figure out what the problem is i'd love to get more insights to mulch and how alot of you use it

I usually use AudioMulch in conjunction with Bidule (plugin version) and/or PureData (via the PdVst bridge).
In both cases I am able to automate parameters and control them with the Metasurface ()

Problem solved! As fabi suggested I looked at the audio settings. I found the screen that sets number and size of buffers. I reduced the output buffers way down and voila! Problem solved.
I had to experiment to find the right value. Too low and the sound became totally distorted, and too high and the latency was a problem. I finally found that 3 1K buffers did the trick.
Happy again! Sony Acid worked fine. So did Bome's mouse keyboard.
Thanks!!!
Jay

Thanks, this did the trick.fac wrote:Right-click on synth's window title and select "Parameter Modulation". Highlight the synth's name and select the MIDI receive port & channel for the synth.
I'm getting a huge latency though from playing the keyboard to hearing the sound.
I'll check my buffer settings although I'm sure they were pretty low.
