Wopelka -- Rhapsody in Rhodes Has been mastered and uploaded to the ftp in the Mastered Tracks folder....if i could get some feedback from wopelka that would be great. It was in MP3 format, so i added some synthetic high frequencies with SandBrush and then polished them off with spectralive (LOVE THAT THING!!! )...did some other things to it too, but that's the most significant.

PLEASE REMEMBER THAT ANY AUTHORS WHO DO NOT LISTEN TO THE MASTERS THAT I"VE UPLOADED AND PROVIDE ME WITH FEEDBACK CONCERNING WHETHER OR NOT THEY LIKE THE FINAL PRODUCT BEFORE THE MASTERING PERIOD ENDS, WILL LOSE THEIR RIGHT TO DO SO AND WHATEVER IS UP THERE WILL BE INDEFINITELY GOING ON THE CD...THE "MASTERING PERIOD" IS OPEN FOR AS LONG AS I AM MASTERING THE TRACKS...I'LL GIVE 2 EXTRA DAYS AFTER I AM FINISHED MASTERING FOR USERS TO LISTEN..AFTER THAT, ALL MASTERS ARE FINAL UNLESS YOU HAVE SPOKEN TO ME BEFOREHAND.
Sorry if that sounds rude...but I need to keep moving as fast as is possible...and if the author of a song that's been mastered has objections to the sound and would like it re-done...i need to know ASAP.

Thank you.

Hi
I'm here :-)
Sounds fine!
I noticed you really did not have to do much to it ;-)
So No need for Krim to get upset as the changes ToTc made were very minor .... almost transparent.

Works from here.
Thanks Frank!

THanks paul. no, i didn't have to do too much to it at all. You'rs and krim's production was fanatastic! Bass was nice and solid...mixing was spot on...mids were prominent. everything was beautiful...only thing i did was add a subtle enhancement to the high frequencies...very soft compression to make it breath a bit more, a bit of stereo imaging to make the whole track wider and a maximized it to use up the rest of the headroom. No heavy processing at all though...everything was done lightly....you guys did a bang up job on that piece. Made it much easier to work with.

peace!

@ TotcProductions - I'm sure this has been covered somewhere, but how does one know where and when to check the master you've uploaded? It's not the same FTP site we sent our WAV files is it? Sorry if I'm overlooking the obvious...

no apologies needed....not a problem at all...

This should answer yours and NewbieBrad's questions.

Yes, it's the same FTP that you all uploaded final mixdowns to. In that location is a folder called "Mastered Tracks". I will be placing each track up there as i finish it....then, deleting it from the ftp as soon as the authors have reached me for comment (this is for piracy reasons...i know i know, it's a benefit cd, but those warez fags "Crack" everything with a copyright nowadays. and even some stuff without a copyright. lol.).

As for When to look....all i can say is keep your eyes on this thread, and the FTP site. I'll be posting up here everytime i finish a track and upload it to the ftp location. I'll try to PM everybody as their track is finished...but i've done before and haven't recieved any response. So i'm just going with posting up here.

Thanx for asking though as i forgot to mention all that.

peace! 8)

you'll have to teach me how you did it exactly. awesome. warmer and smoother than ever. congratulations. 8)

the only thing that i'd love to change is the little saturation noises that annoy me here and there. i guess it's impossible to remove them as they come from the recording itself. saturation is a normal thing for a Rhodes, anyway. :ud:
