I often find it difficult to explain what it is I do to "civilians", that is, laypersons. I have a friend who is a musician but knows nothing about electronic music, recording technology, etc. My responses to her curiosity come out jumbled with jargon. Does anyone know of any online resource(s) for explaining the basics-hosts, plug-ins, MIDI, digital audio/sampling, etc, in terms someone intelligent but ignorant of the particulars of what we do would understand? Thanks.
