VSTs for mind control

I have been listening to a radio show discussing experiments using Extra Low Frequencies and to similar signals beating together to effect people's moods. Has anyone ever tried this? Can any VSTs or hardware create low enough sounds to do this? I am not planning to take over the world, but I am curious if anyone has experimented with anything like this.
They also discussed how certain frequencies were used so 4 people in a car could each listen to a different radio station IN THEIR HEADS!. This could be used in vending machines so you would hear a voice in your head saying "Buy a Coke."
If I ever play live I want to end my set with one of those non-lethal weapons that makes everyone lose control of their bowels. "Thank you, goodnight! Now go clean up."

There is a program called brainwave generator which can play certain frequencies. But as for it making you hear "buy a coke" im not so sure

ultradia works allright, though the frequencies are somewhat fixed. Binaural frequencies do help move the brain to alpha/theta/delta states, all of which occur naturally your day,but beyond that - no mind control, sorry. That's what the nightly news is for.

That is kind of how they explained possible uses for this technology. Let's say the a signal is broadcast on the radio that makes everyone who hears it feel "uneasy". Later a story is broadcast on the news tagreting a particular racial group. Suddenly everyone's uneasiness and aggression are directed at that group. Scary stuff.ouroboros wrote:That's what the nightly news is for.
That is why it is up to the KVARmy to counteract these signals with our own.

I've got an open mind and all but when I read stuff like...
...I just smell bullshit.. with that said, it is interesting, and I've heard people talk about it and stuff. I'd be interested to hear some people's accounts of it's sucess rate.Specifically, Ultradia is a unique brainwave entrainment architecture derived from the frequencies of adenine, thymine, guanine, and cytosine — the “building blocks” of DNA. The Ultradia frequencies, when listened to in a specific sequence for a specific length of time, help normalize the 90-minute human ultradian rhythm.
read on a bit more and found the word "biopsychospiritual", how long until I'm asked for my credit card
Peace

yes, a lot of the stuff is relegated to the fringes.
The bottom empirical line is that it is possible, through these beats, to alter the operating frequency your brain is running at. It isn't magic, and it only induces states that you naturally cycle through daily. A tape creating an Alpha wave will help to slow your brain down to a focused alpha state: the same state people achieve in meditaion and one that all people pass through on their way to sleep. It is associated with enhanced visualization and such, but it is only associated, and not necesarily causative.
Personally, I find it helps me relax much more quickly, and helps to "clear my head" sometimes. You can't be hypnotized against your will; suggestions are not overpowering in this state, nor can you really manipulate your own emotions/thoughts. You can only provide a working environment that is conducive to certain mental patterns.
Works great for headaches caused by tension for me, or calm me down when I'm stressed writing for a deadline.

i really doubt these frequencies have any effect on the amino acid pairs found in our DNA. it is one thing to introduce some potent mutagins or something of that sort.... but the likelyhood of this adenine, guanine, etc.. effect sounds like bul$hitt. furthermore.. if it caused changes to these 4 AA's... why not uracil? it selectively causes changes to DNA and not RNA? whatever

I recall frequencies between 5 and 10 Hz (optimum of 7Hz) can make people very sick. Throwing up etc... Military applications of this were researched, as an alternative to tear gas & water guns to spread angry crouds.
You get near this freq with 16th bass notes of only one wave cycle. Quarter notes @ 120bpm = 2Hz, so sixteenths are at 8Hz. Go down to 105 bmp and you have 7Hz.
Now this explains why the base drum stutter effect makes me sick.

"Ultradia" seems a bit odd to me, but it is proven that certain frequencies can be used to induce different states of mind.
I cant remember where but i read that shaman drumming beats just so happen to copy the theta wave - which is associated with REM sleep i think, and this is the state of mind that people can enter through deep deep meditation. I think studies have been conducted into budist meditation and links have been found to the theta wave or something, im sure google has answers.
There are many "quit smoking" and motivational tapes that use different freq. patterns or cycles to stimulate different parts of the brain and it has been proven to work very effectivly.

remember though, these figures are actual frequencies, so you're talking about an actual 7Hz vibration. Mythbusters did a piece on "the brown note" and noted the same thing.C00kie wrote:I recall frequencies between 5 and 10 Hz (optimum of 7Hz) can make people very sick. Throwing up etc... Binaural beats occur (With headphones) when 440hz is fed to the left ear and 450Hz fed to the right. The difference, 10Hz, is "heard" as a faint pulsing as the brain tries to sync the signals up. (I don't know if the effect is "anticipated" or actually heard in the aural sites).
It's a psychoacoustic effect, not an actual wave.

Cool Edit can do it - I think it was CoolEdit95 with the free functional demo. They call it brainwave synchronisation, a rhythm put into static that will sync your mood if you listen long enough (about half an hour)
I once used it as an esthetic effect.

i've done some investigating into this before.
here's some good reads in regards to frequencies:

you could build a mock version of a silent subliminal system in reaktor; unfortunately synthedit has an high-end oscillator limitation to make a standard vst.
i have some links somewhere here for commercial subliminal and brainwave products as well as reverse speech, backmasking, and such. the biggest obstacles in this area is the frequency response of speakers and recording media.
