ive started to delve into all the wonderful freebies here at kvr. many thanks to all!! some of this stuff is just perfect!
so, onto the question.....
ive followed the directions on how to get arpocalypse to work, but it will not. ive tried in sonar 4PE and live 4.0. i thought i could get it to work in live because of the routing possiblities, but no dice. i can get the arp to 'run' when i feed midi data to it, but it never shows any kind of output. ive routed every way i could think of! can i do this in either of the 2 programs, or do i need to use a more 'flexible' host?
thanks!

I don't know
but arpocalypse often crashes my system...
I do use tobybear's arpimdedes, in its midipack (freeware);

ARPocalypse working fine in FL here - although I can't get the legato mode to work. Just wish the grid was bigger.

arpimedes just stops outputting if i hold a chord for longer than about 7 seconds in tracktion. really wishing someone had responded to my "arpimedes alternatives" thread a couple days ago...
arp4midi works great, but i just wish it had a random arp like arpimedes instead of just up & down and stuff.

I think XOXOs's Talent (now free) has that random function with arp you're looking for.arp4midi works great, but i just wish it had a random arp like arpimedes instead of just up & down and stuff

In FL, I just set the MIDI Out port of Arpocalypse to the MIDI In port of the synth I'm using.
What I really want is something similar, but with a full on piano roll. Down the left of which, instead of keys, would be numbers - perhaps 1 to 10 (10 being the maximum number of keys you can play with two hands), with each number representing the number of the note of the chord I'm playing (similar to Arpocalypse). Having full Piano roll functionality would allow for the precise position, duration and velocity of notes to be defined, as well as allowing notes to be overlapped to create portamento on mono synths. This would also allow all the other controls in Arpocalypse (temp, velocity, gate, swing and legato) to be scrapped.
