Actually, my lost lost uncle Estoufell was an Albonian. He had sold me the perfect computer program. It dose everything and anything. All I had to do was arrange the 1's and 0's.

Scoops
I have a really fast computer, some good mics, vintage musical instruments, and lots of fancy software. Just need some talent

Thanks for the heads up! I fixed it. Were you using Windows Internet Explorer? It seemed to have a problem with the javascript I used to style the table. Oh, I hate how complicated computers make everything! :)

Let me know if you have any more problems. I put a couple of your loops in there - I hope you don't mind.
Now it's okay, it works fine. well done. yes, i was using IE and it's an honour to be in your loops list.

cheers

TBH, I didn't try to single people out. I went for what was easy to steal. The "low hanging fruit" as it were. There's also a strategy behind my choices that has little to do with the songs or artists themselves. Regardless, there are some really cool loops in there. It's so weird to be able to put these things together. They're like Legos. And they keep suggesting new combinations when I solo and mute tracks. But the weirdest thing is how hearing them takes me back to whatever contest they were from. It's scary how addictive it is...

Actually your loops are there because I loved them. :D Seriously. That's why I contacted yo about them back then. They rock! :phones:

Cheers George for adding my very first contest entry here :D

(Actually I think it's worth having a new go at this one for a full length track)

And I figured why not enter allready; I could probably do it even betterer if I gave it more time; but that's the thing, I don't have so much of that......

Post

Can we can embellish our entry with a freshly recorded track or two? I didn't see anything in the rules that expressly forbid any additional content - just warnings about length and attitude. Mine is formulated to be 93% post-consumer recycled content and 7% new material. That's pretty green isn't it?

Ah, it probably doesn't much matter. Mine's not going to be that scary anyway. I don't think music can be that scary. Pretentious, yes. The scary part is how much people adore pretentious crap. :scared:

Post

I had good time messing with Wopelka's material last night. It could get really scary if I can figure out a few more things about using audio in Live 5!

Erm, You™, is that the picture you meant to link to? And is that George Bush? :scared: :-o

Yikes! No I didn't. The fiends must disallow direct linking. Bastards! Here's what I meant: First pretensious, second pretentious.

Sorry about that! :o ...Though it does bear striking resemblance to W.

Were it not for the fact he's offering comfort to the poor, you'd swear it was him.

Duh Rules wrote:(d) composed using exclusively (preferably!) audio and midi data from past competition entries created by others.
So it MUST (preferably) use only material from the past songs, audio or MIDI.

So no (maybe), you may not (may) use new tracks.

Is that clear (as mud)?

Post

Exactly (ambiguously)! :)

Bottom line is you won't be DQ'd. But it's in the hands of the voters whether to accept a song where someone uses 99% new material and says, "Oh, and I used a bass drum sample from XXX's past entry..."
