I bought AmplitubeLive/LE. Am I right in assuming that if I were to upgrade to the full version of Amplitube 1.0 now at a cost of 199.00EUR I will get AT2 for free when it comes out?

I don't see an upgrade option other than

Crossgrade AmpliTube Live to AmpliTube 1.0 Plug-In for MacOS, MacOS X and Windows
You have to be a registered AmpliTube Live user.

Is that the one I would use?

If that assumption is correct can you tell me what sort of copy protection it will have?

The Amplitube2 press release on IK's site says:

Customers having registered AmpliTube 1 full version from September 1, 2005, will receive a FREE upgrade to AmpliTube 2.

I suppose that about says it. I just want to be 100% sure because if I buy 1.0 and somehow I am not eligible for AT2 I'll snap.

Where is the best price to upgrade. Or can upgrade/crossgrade only be done through IK?

I just upgraded on esoundz. Seemed to be pretty good deal and free shipping which was close enough to almost negate any better deal i found. Plus i think its good to support these guys at the source if possible.

It's the same as for Philharmonik (and Steinberg's productrange). The iKey (syncrosoft)

Guys, if you buy AmpliTube 1 now you get AmpliTube 2 free! So you get AmpliTube 2 for half price AND you get AmpliTube 1 as well which is a DIFFERENT plug-in and this is the last chance you have to get it!!!!!

I'll find out all of this information for you guys.

The audio demo clips will come. Imagine that it has already been a heavy job just creating it. Now a lot of marketing material (including a variety of audio clip presentations plus video etc) is already starting to be created. We're showing it at AES and Funkybot got to see it (and I got to meet him finally although I didn't get to say goodbye). I also met Mojo Chopper. Both are really nice. Also Endmusik as well. It's been a KVRfest!

Not to mention everyone over at Muse.
