I'm not sure if this happens to other users but every so often my VSTi tracks get all mixed up when you're freezing, unfreezing, removing, adding and the automation for one track ends up being associated with another VSTi.
I have some fairly elaborate volume automation for a sax so I'd rather not write it again so is there any way to copy automation from one track to another track ?
I tried the obvious select one track and copy then select the other track and paste but it just pasted into the first track.
copying VSTi automation in Cubase 2.2 SX ??

Odd...I've often copied automation from one channel to another successfully. And I did it just as you said. Select the automation channel in question, set the L/R markers, copied the automation points (when highlighted in red), then selected the next automation channel, set the L marker again and moved the cursor to the L marker and pressed ctrl V. And it copies, no problems. Are you sure you've moved the cursor to where you want when you paste? It copies from where the cursor is (although you probably already know that, but sometimes it's the obvious things that you miss - I know I do ).
I've heard about the freezing thing with automation on SX2, but I never personally use freeze, so I couldn't tell you if there was any workaround to that
