Hi.
I have a recording of vocals and guitar that I want produce a track with. Unfortunately the performer didnt use a click (couldnt do it) so the timing drifts. Is there any freeware I can use to sync the recording to a regular beat?

Probably not any freeware that will do it. What host are you using? Ableton wold probably make that really easy.

Start with making a click track yourself!
Decide weather you will be following the slightly drifting tempo, or you want to straighten it up.
In the first case I think a multitrack audio host will be easiest(n-track, adobe audition, tracktion, most other hosts) In the latter I'd chop it up in bars and let Acid make it all the same tempo.
