Fokk yes, and they included the multiple buttons trick! And you thought that only worked on the Urie compressors...

BTW this trick applies to almost every single piece of electronics...like the 101-key trick on your keyboard, and the all-buttons trick on your cell phone.

I'm sure it sounds wonderful and all, I'm just happy they preserved the look of the original hardware. I can see how all that empty black space might actually come in handy.

is it just me? or do all the plugins look like thay have had a polish on the GUI side of things?

...did I read this correctly?
Tempo Synchronization for CS-1 and Nigel family plugins
Now I'm really anxious for Cubase to arrive... learn a new host and I think a purchase of the BOSS combo is in order!

To me, the news of the Flexi Uad1 is even more welcome (from November on).

= an Uad1 card priced somewhere between project and studio packs - no plugins but a 500$ coupon - pick yer own....whoooooo

Post

Now THAT is good news! Flexi.. mmmmmm damn tempting!

I'm getting it for sure (I've already got a project pak). It's going to be cheaper than buying separate missing plugins + all the POWER!!!

soulata,

that seems perfect for someone who wants to grab either

a) all the roland stuff
b) all the precision mastering series stuff
If it sounds good it is good.

Excellent- its on my list...

Any comments on Dimension D?
It looks like a very specialized plug.
Want transparent Chorus on vocals or acoustic instruments then this is the one.
Other then that there is not much there.
I know UAD is about replicating hardware down to every screw but having Mod and Wet/Dry controls hidden on this plug is going over board in my opinion.
I will not buy this plug.
Kjaerhus GMO-1 is still my favorite all around chorus.

soulata,
agreed, Plate 140 and Cambridge are must-haves.
The Fairchild however, while sounding great, is a very special beast. Nice to have, but not one of the essentials imho.
If you can't afford to get them all, do yourself a favour and check out Precision Limiter, too, instead. Not as spectacular maybe, but a lot less resource - hungry and so useful - once you've tried it you won't want to live without it anymore.
YMMV, but that's what demos are for. BTW, if you've already used up your demos, UA support can give you another 14 days on request (fantastic company !)
