ttoz,

Thanks for the effort. :D

I have done the sums:

If I give up my day job and pay myself the same salary. Next, I invest in a Mac and associated software. Then, I take some time to get familiar with the Mac and I am able to port 6 of my plug-ins in 60 days.

70 customers would have to buy all 6 of my plug-ins at $400 per plug-in - just to break even!

This scenario deviates from all the reasons why I made the plug-ins in the first place.

I have made a few enquires on 3rd party porting. In this case, I would need to pay a proportion to the 3rd party AND hand over my code. As a consequence, I would need to drastically increase the selling price.

Since I do this as a hobby, and I don't make anywhere near a salary from it, I prefer to spend my efforts creating plug-ins rather than porting them.

P.S. If a large company wanted to buy me out then this is also a possibility. Try mailing DigiDesign or Waves and ask for Elevayta products.

http://www.elevayta.com/ still times out for me anyway. :(

Maybe something will change and you'll get a chance to port your plug-ins. I see many small developers farming out conversions to people who are already experts on the other platform. Just let us know, and we'll be there to check 'em out.

Actually, that's the one which times out. Going to elevayta.com tries to load the URL above as a sub-item (a frame?). It never finishes. No other problems on this end. For some reason, paulrharvey.co.uk just won't serve anything to me on Comcast cable in California (IP 24.6.75.xxx). I've talked to at least one other person on DSL in the Seattle area who couldn't connect either. Any ideas? I'd love to see what we're talking about.

KernelG,

No idea why you can't see the page - I get a lot of hits from the U.S. Perhaps your firewall is being over zealous.

No firewall here. Not even software. No pop-ups blocked, no ads blocked (at the moment). Besides, port 80 is port 80. I visit hundreds of sites daily. Hmmm.. weird.

Oh well. Best of luck!

Perhaps how about a kinda group buy... us interested Mac heads stump up for the plugs we like (plus or minus a donation) and you port 'em at your leasure?

Say if you had 4 months to port them - in your down time...

Perhaps that would work?

Just an Idea sorry

So perhaps we should set-up another poll for SERIOUSLY interested folks...

... this could work if the dev was willing

Paul, you should get ahold of Adrian from Apulsoft/Plasq! He has ported well over 8 free plug ins from windows! So the experience is there, and he's good enough at it that he did this all for free.

I hope the port happens. The plugins look good and the price is more than fair.

Apul Soft would probably port the free ones. They did all those other plugs like Dahornet and Cyanide 2 and such.
