Heads up for Live users:

Live 5.0.2 is now available for download free to registered users from the Abelton site.

As well as a whole pile of bugfixes, there are a few minor improvements as well :D

Post

By the way, one improvement is that the transport/markers in the Arrangement view now behave more like they did in Live 4. The changes they made to this in 5 seemed to confuse some long-term Live users. I must admit that I was sometimes taken a bit by surprise when I hit the space bar and found tracks started in a different place from where I expected, so I think this is a good thing (but none of the functionality of the new markers is lost of course... they just tightened up the way this works... another example of the Abes responding quickly to user feedback  )

Thanks for the heads up on this one. :) I have been tracking the Ableton bugs forum for some weeks now to check the progress with 5.0.2 glad to see they have finally finished it. Great.

I'll download this later tonight. 8)

Two other quick tips:

1) The easiest way to update Live is from within the software - go to Help > Check for updates, and follow instructions. This way you don't need to dig out your serial number and type it into the Ableton website

2) In case you miss it on the Ableton forum, this message from Alex is worth taking note of:

Two notes:

1)
To all Live 5.0.2 beta tester, please keep in mind that the final Live 5.0.2
version copies the preferences from the last final Live version (Live 5.0.1)
but not from any beta version.

2)
Because a bug fix related to the latency information provided from the audio interface
you might have to reset your 'Overall Latency' value in the 'Audio' section of
Live's preferences.

Kind Regards,
Alex

I hope that is useful info!

Sheesh...I thought this was bogus...until I realized it's FL Studio that is already at 5.0.2.

Thanks.
