CUBASE SX3 resets my JP8000 or any other MIDI KEYBOARD

Rollex,I got the project file, selected all the parts that were originally going to the output on your FW Midi port, and opened the list editor. Each part contains a bank (MSB + LSB= 0)and program change (1).
That would account for the change of sound on playback. If you do the same you can delete the events in the parts from the list editor, and all should be well.

hay soory.. i need a kick for not readin the post carefully and just viewing it in bursts... all this time i thought jp8000 was another virtual synth or something, overlooked midi keyboard... so sorry rollex

Just sounds like a Reset MIDI on Play problem I had with Logic. Probably a checkbox buried in one of the menus of Cubase. I'm sure it's something I had turned off myself a few years ago in Cubase, so don't remember where it's at, and I'm not at home to check.
