I can create my own bio page. I'll get to it in a day or so. If there is someone else who needs help with theirs, or Xander, if you need a bit of load taken off, let me know. I can do "some" of them.

wow, my bio isn't about me at all really, a brief word about the song, credit for the poem it was written from (my father) and credit to myself for writing and performing the music...no links, no story of Hink...
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

I guess it's still a creative area we can all explore -- so of course ideas are welcome.
Personaly, at first I was only going to have one or two lines meself -- keep a lower personal profile and more attention on the relief effort. Then after a few discussions, it was thought that it would be a more rewarding experience for the CD purchasers if they had access to a specific site with lots of additional info -- in which the artists said a bit more about themselves and their craft and perhaps the tools of their craft and areas of found inspiration, etc. -- perhaps even a rap on KVR and how the effort came together.
Don't know -- need additional input. If it enhances our marketing of the CD then we should go fer it -- since the cost to us all is nada but a wee bit of time and the benefits potentially great.
Thoughts?
Cheers,
Alex

I'm away on holiday for a week...
you(tm) is working on some t-shirt designs based on robs artwork.. Rob has access to the t-shirt site so if they get done before I'm back he'll create the products. and will probably post details here.
If my mastering is done this week then..erm .. well I'm sure it will be okay..
.. so don't wait for feedback from me...

Noted Ben. Have a great holiday mate!
I'm sure you'll love the mastering job we do -- and the new bit where we mixed in some Hawaian lounge guitar and claves... and.. oh yeah -- the foot-stomp sounds from wacko Jacko's 'Beat it' really make a great accompaniment to Remco's romantic croonings! You'll love it mate
Cheers,
Alex

I have no idea how I can do a bio page,
and what should be in there.
I think it would be good to have a kind of form that everyone can fill or so to make them look a bit professional and easy to the readers.
then maybe that form can be transposed to a nice web design???
maybe a form like:
edited :
name:
age:
artist name:
bands:
location:
background for the titel:
stuff used for the music:
my music in general:
my way till today:
something else:
...
contact me:
and so on
and maybe pix for the ones who like.
just an idea.

may the others speak up and say what they want.
I erdited the form idea a bit.
maybe we should contact each pf the contributors by pm to ask to fill a form ?
I´m not sure if everyone is actively reading the thread.

I can make my own page too - heck, I'll make all of 'em. Not a big deal if I can get everyone's info and pix.
Regardless of the content, should we have a standardized layout or are they to all be different? I think having some similar elements would he good (ie: header, footer, navigation).

Thanks George -- bewtween you, I, Koolkeys and rsmus7's form we have a bead on this thing!
I admit I am a fumbler when it comes to HTML and I have been justly accused many times of having no sense for visual art, though I certainly adore my Elvis on luxurious Black Velvet wall hangings.
Perhaps if I get the info up and in text format via rsmus7's form & send it to you George? I suggest this because you have the bead on the artwork & general theme, so perhaps best to sync it all into an aestheticaly pleasing order.
Then KK says he'd help too -- maybe he can give us a bit of webspace to test it all in?
What say?

I have server space too which I'm willing to donate. We could map the domain to one of my servers (the fees are minor and I can afford them), but I don't have any experience with the PayPal stuff - aside from giving them my money. If all we need is just a link to them, no problem, if I need to set up some secure page, I'm willing to try, but it's not my expertise. I'll knock out an example if what I'm thinking and you can see if it's appropriate. I'll be back shortly......xander wrote:There we goYou™ wrote:I can make my own page too - heck, I'll make all of 'em. Not a big deal if I can get everyone's info and pix.

Roger that George!
For the Katrina CD Artists' final website server, we can talk to Kovacs about that and see how we can link it or whatever.
But that's a way cool offer from you mate, for sure.
I guess it will be a couple more days for me to get all the info on the form, then I can up it all to you.
Standing by....
Cheers,
Alex

We can still use Kovac's server in the end if we want. But it doesn't matter.
Let me know if we finalize the form. I have PM's already for people needing help with their page. I think it would be good to have a set layout that everyone could go by.
