If I understand rightly, these are REX files - yes?
If so - should be great news for Stylus RMX users I would imagine.

What is the list price on these sets?
Do you have a reliable release schedule for the listed titles? It seems many products are "announced' and then there is a very long wait.
Thanks.

Depending on price I could be very interested in the motown set.

They're a little on the high end price-wise but you get 2 DVDs of material and quite a lot of variety. Prices are going to be in the $299 range each give or take a bit depending on which title it is. All together the first 10 titles have over 80 gigabytes of multi-track loops I believe (or somewhere in that territory) so this is a scope of a project that has not been done quite to this extent in various regards.fgrittner wrote:What is the list price on these sets?

In terms of shipping time, we are looking to start shipping the first titles next month and then at least a few a month after that. Actually this is done in cooperation with a company called Joytown Productions which is a group of top Nashville, LA and NY engineers, studios and musicians that I like to work with. So, it is a parallel team working while others are doing Reason refills and Studiophonik. What was I-Drums is now inside Studiophonik and I-Drums has evolved into a massive line of individual drum hits from an unreal variety of drums. That's coming soon. In fact, it has all built up to come around the same time! It takes years to get here but now a lot of these products are ready to see the light of day. We're finally catching up!
You'll see how it all ties in together though at some point.

The Motown grooves are incredible. Hey guys, we have a free demo disc we did for AES. I know we'll have some extras. It comes with 300 megs of example loops from all 10 libraries in multitrack ProTools and OMF (multi-track REX isn't ready yet but we're going to do that too). So you can read it in PT, Cubase or any OMF compatible sequencer/DAW.baggio wrote:Depending on price I could be very interested in the motown set.
Caleb, Stylus RMX will probably be great with the Rex versions of the tracks. We'll try that out at some point. But, we also have a LOT of Rex stuff coming out very soon (either downloadable or some on disc too). Yeah, we've been busy. I feel bad that we announced I-Drums and Studiophonik and they are still not shipping. But, for SR those are the only two left to deliver that have been announced (until now). So, you get to see a fair amount of restraint that we've learned to use on announcements. So, the Miroslav Refills are also coming out this year and not long after that announcement either. Of course it helps that we've been working on the Miroslav samples for about a year already so we know it well!
Anyway, the Studio Profile series is coming. To get your free demo CD just email : studioprofiles@esoundz.com (or just sales@esoundz.com if you want) and request it. Supplies are limited and the next vol. 2 demo will have different content so this is a good opportunity for a taste of the whole thing and also a chance to give some feedback if you like. We also take requests!

When you record an acoustic drum kit in something like ProTools (or back in the old days onto 2 inch analog 24 track tape) you have each mic discretely on its own channel. So, direct mics on the kick, snare, toms etc. and then a set of overheads or two and then various room mics and you can mix these together in combinations to get different sounds in your drum production (and then of course in your sequencer you can process the individual tracks with fx plug-ins).A3ntar wrote:I don't understand somehing. What is a "multi-track loops"?
So, these are multitrack sessions in segments that are grooves you can loop right in the sequencer (not even using a sampler) and do the rest of your track over. You can play guitar over it for example or you can play virtual instruments along with it to round off a full band sound in the various styles offered. On top of that you have extras like individual hits you can use to customize the beat (either in the sequencer still or through a sampler and playing it).
They are loops with multiple mics that you can mix. It is just like having a drummer in the studio. Well, minus the stick twirling.

Thanks for the update--sounds very promising.
I hope the stereo room and overhead tracks are interleaved stereo and not left and right mono tracks. Otherwise you have to set the panning for these--a bit tedius. I also hope there are stereo audition loops. As for REX editing, good luck--that will take you awhile. Stereo REX loops would be fantastic too. You could sell them separately like Drums on Demands does with their two volumes of mulitrack loops--great for quickly putting together an arrangement and then copying in the multitrack parts. See my review at www.cakewalknet.com for my take on using multitrack loops.

Thanks Fred. I will check that out. We're going to do a lot of cool things with these so feel free to give comments such as this. Some of these titles will exist in smaller stereo form in Rex and other formats but they may not be included in this product. We will have stereo mix down tracks included though for reference.fgrittner wrote:Thanks for the update--sounds very promising.
