Micing and Sampling an Upright Piano

Hi,

I have never sampled a piano before, but I recently moved into a house with one already there, so maybe now is the time. I don't expect to get some pristine sample set, the piano is not even proerly in tune in the lower registers.

I want to:
(i) record a lo-fi piano set, and
(ii) do some treatments to the strings and the inner workings, and make a prepared piano set.

I have three mics- an SM58, a fairly nice Rode Condenser, and a nice little sony stereo mic for field recordings.

Any advice?
