Hi Squids or any other esoundz person,

I just went to check if the squids tron collection was still available, hidden away on the website somewhere, and also to check about your downloadable sounds in this category. What I got was a bit confused...

There are several single sounds, from $5-8 per sound. and then there are three 'packs'- Mello-T Chamberlainz (11.99, 18 'patches'), Mello-T Mellotronz(15.99, 11 Melltrons), and Mello-T Tronz (15.99, 21 trons). However, the soundlist for all these packs has a list of 40 tron related samplesets.

What do I get if I buy (maybe all of them 8) ) . Also, can I get these in wave format instead, or, less preferably, sampletank format?

Currently they are not in wave format. They may possibly be in the future. Not sure though. Of course you can always export them out of SampleTank as waves easily. As for getting a bundle deal or things of that nature just email sales@esoundz.com and see.

yeas, but, I can't even tell what you get for the price, if it says '21 trons', but the list actually has 40, if I order will I get forty, or 21? Also, they are listed in refill, are you saying I can for get them in sampletank format?

Not sure but I think probably 21. I can find out this week for sure when I am back in the office. These sounds either are or will be available in SampleTank as well.

ok, I will wait for the reply, Thanks. I might be good to update the soundlists so they only display exactly the sound in each pack.

Squids, will you be selling "packs" in Sampletank format , too? It strikes me that those sets are a pretty good deal. It would be nice to have the same sort of deal for Sampletank users. Hint Hint

SampleTank has an export function? Where? Is this new for ST 2.1?

Yes. Quite a few in fact with tons of new material. Naturally we will give a strong effort in supporting SampleTank with this. But, not only. We're also doing sound packs for a variety of formats including HALion, DimensionPro, Reason, Kontakt/Intakt/Battery and more.

OK, I'm going to put this down as an early-morning Squids' Freudian (Squidsian?) slip. I suspect he may have been talking about the Universal Format Outputter (UFO) program that comes with some of the Sonik Capsules. And considering the amount of job adverts he posted today, he must be seriously overworked at the moment!

However, if ST 2.1 does allow export of samples, I for one will be very (pleasantly) surprised...

No, since Mellotrons originally were not looped you can simply play the notes out of SampleTank and the tron collection and export to wave from your sequencer host like Cubase. That is what I meant (if you wanted to load it elsewhere). Not ideal I know but it is possible.

Got you - sorry to cast aspersions on your character, or your workload.

It's just that I fell off my chair when I read that first quote. Don't worry, it wasn't far... :D

That's odd. Maybe it didn't get through. Please send it again to sales@esoundz.com or maybe robert@esoundz.com or elijah@esoundz.com (our buddy Alex has been tied up recently with things). Thanks.

I would really like to see a tutorial on how to use these sounds. Esp how to make them sit properly in a mix.
