Hi folks,

I've finally released Metallurgy! :)
Here is the latest, updated information.

Image

Description:

Metallurgy is a multi effect that is capable of providing sounds ranging from basic, subtle, filter tweaks to twisted, complex, walls of sound that bare virtually no resemblance to the original audio.

Metallurgy offers 3 filters with multiple modulation options, 2 very digital distortions (each with 3 modes), 2 downsamplers, dual delay, an envelope follower, a gate sequencer, and a Metal effect that, in addition to flanging and metallic effects, also provides the ability to produce pitched sequences...nearly turning Metallurgy into an synth in it's own right.

Metallurgy has been designed with bass, drums, and synth sounds in mind, but is useful with a very wide range of sound types and it comes with 417 categorized patches.

Metallurgy costs $20 (USD), payable through PayPal.

Note to Live and FL Studio users
There is a bug I'm still trying to track down that effects these two hosts. When you unmute the plugin, the audio stutters for a short bit.

Update - 12-6-05: There would appear to be a related bug in FL (don't know about Live yet) that also causes stuttering when you stop button on the transport...but it doesn't seem to happen when you use the spacebar. Additionally, stuttering occurs when you start FL's sequencer if you have "reset plugins on transport" turned on in your audio options menu.

I will of course keep trying to find a proper fix for these problems. However, in the meantime, turning off "reset plugins on transport" and using the spacebar instead of the buttons is stopping the stuttering at start/stop for me.

Well, thats it...I hope you folks dig Metallurgy. :)
Many thanks to all the beta testers, sound designers, Jeff McClintock, Dave Haupt, Chris Kerry, and to Sicklecell666 for inspiring me to actually build this.

As always, please let me know what you think of it and if you post any tracks that uses it.

Thanks,
-ugo

Judging by your other plugins, I'd say this is going to be top-notch. I can't wait to hear it.

I'd really love to make some patches for this. I can give you some patches for various synths/effects if you want to make sure I won't do a crappy job.

Post

I wish I had more time, but I'm just going to have to wait (impatiently!) until the release.
