Can't see any reason why not -- I got a lot of PMs from people wo wanted to contribute -- some of them well known and damn good -- but it was too late -- so we kicked this around a bit.

Now that we're organising the Artist Wesite, perhaps it'd be good to create a page for 'Additional Contributors' or similarly apt title.

Mind -- no one has as yet submitted such a song, so...

Cheers,
Alex

I'm just a little concerned I might be making countless web pages for a growing list of contributors in perpetuity... :-o

I should modify the navigation list so that all the artists aren't listed there - a growing list will become a problem. I can list them on the main artists page and identify which ones are on the CD and which are not.

Is that Yanny at the A-crap-olis? :hihi:

Okay, so this guy I used to work for said that he and his wife used to live in an apartment where there was this Greek guy living down the hall from them that thye got to know. He taught them how to play backgammon. Anyway, he was in a band but wasn't getting out of it what he wanted, so he decided to go solo. He invited them to one of his performances at a local night club, so they decided to be nice to him and went. There he was, up on stage, performing his songs solo on keyboard . . . and no one was in the audience. After the concert the guy asked my former boss what he thought of the performance and my former boss told him, "Go back with the band and don't quit your day job."

Yeah, it was Yanni. Too bad he didn't take my former boss's advice.

I'd like to put a cap on it of say 10 songs, George. AND -- I don't even think we'll have that many -- as I say a few people asked about it but no one has submitted anything.

Within that 10 song limit may very well be some of the blokes who were *supposed* to be on the CD but *volunteered* to *not* be on it due to time limits of the CD.

As it stands, we may not have to ask for those volunteers, though some have already offered. We think, as of a PM to that effect just a coupla hours ago, that there will be room for everyone -- but *just in case* -- we'd need that website page available for them as well -- or at least the skeleton of one. Capice? ;)

So -- a page that lists the artists on the CD...

And a page that lists 'additional contributing artists', or something to that effect.

Going to pack in it for the day now mates. Catch ya'll in the morning, East Asia time :)

Cheers & G'nite,
Alex

The 'additional contributing artists' page might need to stand out more if people are going to go there and stream songs. Perhaps name it 'listen to additional contributions', or something to that effect.
Anti-aliasing is for "synthmonk%ys".

Instead of language like "additional contributing artists" or wording that might suggest these people didn't make it onto the CD, the marketing wonk in me suggests we use attractive verbiage like "exclusive web-only features!" :hihi:

I can handle maintaining pages for a dozen or so artists in addition to the CD people - and I didn't mean to imply that I wouldn't. I just wanted to gage the scope of this thing. :) I think it's going to be cool and having extra stuff on the website such as extra artists, remixes, T-shirts or whatever gets people interested in the cause is groovy.

Is that a hint at a utm mashup?! :hyper:

Yes, I agree, having extra fun stuff on the site can do nothing but help!

So who's gonna code a FEMA java game for us? :hihi:

And by FEMA I of course mean Foundation for Emergency Musical Aid.
