Just checked GSnap out in EnergyXT. Sounds good thank you.
I can always use vocal tools.

It is possible in FLStudio. It's nice to hear that you are planning it.

Here is the FLStudio demo, if you are interested: http://www.tucows.com/preview/209204

which version of cubase do you use? it must be rather old because you actually can route midi to a vst insert effect (if the effect accepts midi ;)). this should be since version 5 but i might be wrong as i'm no cubase user anymore.

just place the effect in the audio-track you wish, make a new midi-track and set it's output to the vst-effect (it should be shown in the dropdown-list where you normally got the midi-outs of your system). now you can control it with midi-notes or ccs.

Well, every day's a school day. I just assumed it wasn't possible, don't know why. I guess there's nothing stopping me from adding MIDI control then...

glad i could help :).. if you really didn't know then you will be amazed what most plugins can do for you now. ;)
btw. you made some really cool plugs, thx!

Graham - I got the 'snap to key' working as you've described, though I can't QUITE get it to snap aggressively to key the way the old version did. :D

Once/if you get the MIDI part thrown in there, people will REALLY be able to do their Cher effects. ;)

I have added the display of snap-regions on the graph. Hopefully their meaning is self-explanatory. The size of the snap-regions is controlled by the 'Threshold' parameter.

I have also added a key-selection dialog, which can be found by right-clicking on the graph. I'm sure it will get its own button in due course.

As for the aggressiveness, I don't know what it can be. Sorry. A lot has changed since the first beta. I have an idea or two, but I'd like to work on this MIDI business next.

Awesome work, Graham. I hope you never ever take my comments as requests, because I'm happy seeing this develop in whatever way you take it. ;)

gy wrote:Hi Janne. Thanks for the suggestion. Ideally, I would like to add a 'manual' mode to GSnap that does exactly what you describe. It would be a simple addition in fact. The only problem being that Cubase, at least, doesn't allow the routing of a MIDI channel to a VST effect.

If anyone knows how this might be possible I would be interested in your ideas. Alternatively, if you know of a host that supports the routing of both MIDI and audio to a VST effect, then I would be interested in trying it out.
Are you sure about that? I know I have many VST effects that can have a MIDI channel assigned to it; Camelphat for example. Camel appears in the dropdown for "out" in the MIDI channel - is that what you mean at all?

wow, this is coming along veeeery nicely.mucho thankx. :hail:

wow - this plugin is really coming along, Graham :-o

Great work - keep it up :-)

Thanks everyone.

R.A.W. and bduffy, you are both right. I don't know what led me to thinking that - ignorance I guess. Anyway, I have now added MIDI control and it seems to work a treat.

I need to tidy it up a bit, but I will upload a new version soon.

I've uploaded the new version. It now has a 'Midi' mode, which does just what janne described earlier.

Oh well ...looks like Cubase can do this after all.
Makes no difference here anyway... I still think it
sucks.......

Was :Wow! Something Cubase can't do that SONAR can!
Cool.

Hey , thanks much for these plugs.I use GVst quite a lot.Good interface, very low cpu usage, and best of all, they sound really good. Some of the very best freebie plugs I've used.I like GSnap much better now, works almost perfectly in Samplitude. And GMulti is wonderful already.(I'm using on a mix as we speak!)
