@ Wopelka, I meant to tell you - that's not my hair. I had really long hair for a time in the 90s (so I didn't blend in with my clients at the Pentagon) but I had it shorn a few years back because I got tired of taking care of it. I threaten to grow it out every winter. That was a wig - the poor man's Photoshop.

Maybe. When I was younger, girls said I looked like Kyle MacLachlan - that wasn't a bad comparison. But then I got older, heavier and hirsute. Now girls say I resemble Yeti.

Just a thought - since I'm not a web-programmer per se, I don't know how difficult this would be....

Perhaps to highlight the spirit of international cooperation with the project, wouldn't it be cool to have a world map shown where upon mouse-over a particular country, the list of artists from that country shows up and one can select the artist site from that list?

I went through the existing artist pages and saw artists participating from USA, UK, Netherlands, Norway, Germany, China, etc.

Just a thought. I have imagined it - now who can make it happen magically?

I could easily make something in Flash. I could more complicatedly do it in CSS/javascript. I'm a painter not a programmer.

But I could make such a map - as long as everyone remembers to tell me where they live: City, State/Region/Province, Country...

Good idea, I can put that on the main artists page.

I still like the alphabetical list; this might just be a complimentary way to show the world-wide participation.

Any southern hemisphere artists participating?

Still updating and adding bios... I feel like I'm getting to know you all. I'm going to be an expert on who's who around here.

Also here's a little placeholder image for what I was envisioning for the map:

It doesn't have any rollovers yet because I was waiting until I get all the location info for everyone (I may need to adjust the map). I centered the map on the gulf coast I thought when you rollover an artist's location there would be a little pop-up window and a line connecting it to the gulf. If you click the name, you're taken to their page. Sound OK?

Oh, and I'll be reformatting that page to make it look pretty later after all the names are finalized.
