I downloaded the sample pack. I'm just looking forward to having enough time to review them.
I have an aversion to loops. I assume it's ok to not use the loops in their entirity right? I'll just sample the notes and play them as an instrument if that's within the rules.

Good deal. These loops aren't really suitable for the genres I find myself working in but that's just an extensive editing job away from being useful to me.junebug wrote:you can do ANYTHING you want to make music from them -butter wrote:I downloaded the sample pack. The Producer's Vault is a soundfont DVD collection from www.electronisounds.com and isnt related to the www.SampleRemix.com contestmahtazz wrote:In The Producer's Vault page no demos link....
HOWEVER, please rest assured we are working hard on the demos for producers vault: freestyle session, and they should be online at www.electronisounds.com in a day or two if all goes well.
We also have 2 more producer's vault series DVD-ROM's coming this week or next: "big shots" (a collection of one-shot sounds) and "get loopy" (a collection of loops)
in the meantime - be sure to grab the FREE samplepack from SampleRemix.com!

that's the fun part, mate!butter wrote: Good deal. These loops aren't really suitable for the genres I find myself working in but that's just an extensive editing job away from being useful to me.
you can pretty much make ANY genre of electronic music from just about any sample/sound source and FX.
this contest is a great way for you to do JUST THAT!
twist, warp, magle, chop, de-tune, whatever you have to do to make these samples work for YOU!
the contest is only limited by your creativity with the samples.
HAVE FUN!

you're not planning to burn the samples to an actual record, are you?
if you want to - that's fine too!
any effects are OK!
