I had a cassette-copy of this album back in high school when it first came out (in 1989)... I totally loved it and thought it was easily one of the Top Ten "Greatest Punk-Rock Records of All Time"... but the tape bit the dust in the early 90's and I'd been procrastinating on getting a replacement for over a decade...

But I just bought the CD re-issue off the 'Net about a week ago... Man, this thing still kicks ass after all these years! And it's still more than worthy of my Top Ten list...

Nomeansno rule the roost, and Wrong is one of their best- John Wright's drums on 'Big Dick' beggar belief.

Nomeansno used to be high up in my favorite band list as well. Great albums; I still like 0+2=1 and The Worldhood of the World (As Such) as well, and they totally rock live too.
It's that my musical taste expanded a lot in the recent years or Nomeansno would definately still be top 10 in my list.

Actually they're fairly low on my all-time favorite band list; this particular album is just high on my list of favorite punk-rock records... 8)

They still occupy the number-two position on my Top Ten list of favorite concerts/live performances. (They're second only to DEVO in '82!) They played at a dining hall on the University of California Santa Cruz campus in '91 and the show was horribly promoted so there was only about 20-30 people in attendance. But NoMeansNo rocked the dining hall like it was an arena before thousands of people and I'm sure they would have put the same sweat and energy into the performance even if there was only one person in the audience...

I'm confused, if it's the wrong cd, and no means no.....then why'd yah buy it?
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.

'Wrong' is the album title- unless, of course, I've just bitten the baited hook...On a related note, Mike Watt ( bow down before him all ye bassists ) has just released a Minutemen documentary called 'We Jam Econo'

NoMeansNo is boss. Love the stuff they did with Jello, too.
