Not illegally of course, but you'll have to contact the developer or even the new owner of the company(Peter Gabriel)himself(
).Anyway, all you lucky stiff Mac users or interested coders(for PC),here's the link to the free Vst plugin. http://www.solid-state-logic.com/resour ... lugin.html

No interst and sliding down the page? While I know this plug probably wont get ported to PC,I find it hard to believe that no Mac users are interested in a free SSL comp plugin from SSL themselves.Hey,if you guys(Mac users)don't want it...............

Did you miss the big thread on this when it came out? FYI, I did contact SSL for the hell of it, and this is (predictably) what they said:
I know it's tempting as hell, especially with all the talk of SSL and Phil Collins and stuff, but it's probably not all that....I'm sorry to disappoint you but unfortunately
there are no current plans to release the LMC-1 plug in for the PC
Platform. I will pass your comments on to our Product Department to
highlight the growing interest from the PC-VST market.

I kind of missed why this was big news? Just a really aggressive compressor from what I can make out... plenty of ways to achieve that on the PC already.
Or is this a 'character' thing?

You know if they released PC versions of anything, you'd need a bucket to contain the drool around here...

Or a GUI/Name thing. It would be funny if they stole Blockfish and threw their own GUI in front of it!nuffink wrote:I think it's a PC thing.

I think, actually, if you use SimpleSqueeze you can probably get a fairly similar sound, just crank up the knob..
